Portable A/C question

Posted 11th Jun 2023
I have been using my a/c for about 4 hrs and realised I have water underneath it

Is this black plug meant to be in or out during use ?

Also the drainage plug at the bottom has no plug so is open is this meant to be closed off ?

Thanks

All ports need to be either plugged or connected to drainage hose during use, then opened to drain at the end of the day.

The bottom one will almost certainly have had a plug there too and may have been snapped off at some point.

Thanks kodabear I thought that was the case, now I need to source one of those plugs

Anyone know where I can get one ? I looked on the manufacturer website and they’re not in the UK

I'd guess search for something like rubber sealing plug or tapered rubber plug. Amazon has loads.

The top hole is usually for a pipe when using as a dehumidifier.

The bottom hole is to drain the unit.

When venting outside the moisture should be exhausted through the hose when in air con mode

    Hope that helps
