All Flooring Discounts, Offers and Sale - June 2018
Are people happy with the door so far?
Correct about them being cheap doors!! There imported from China by the container.
Yes they need a finish otherwise dirty marks won't easily be removed and more importantly the will absorb and moisture and humidity causing swelling and warping over time.
Mine arrive today. Has anybody received their Thame doors and what did you think? Question for the better informed: do they NEED a finish on them if they look good without one?
I'm a carpenter and oiled and waxed 100s.. not 1 door has reacted... thay say don't do it to cover there backs if anything happens as they don't trust there own cheep product.
Not bad for 10mm.
All flooring are on sale in B&Q.. this honestly is not much of a deal comparing to the other stocks they have..
Accordind to the price tag is 17.12 each and 8/ sq. m
Obligatory warning that Wickes will never stop spamming you with texts and emails if you give them to them. They don't honour opt-out requests.
Probably if things are already on sale.
Just tried to apply it to some flooring (£380) and it says "We're sorry but your voucher code has not been applied.". The flooring is 40% off so wonder if that's why? The T&Cs don't seem to rule out sale items though?
Thanks Op (y)
Hi does anyone know if this would go on concrete floor underneath lino in the kitchen? It's quite cold in there at the moment with the concrete floor and currently getting kitchen renovated so looking at doing something with the floor also thanks
How do you mean??
11mm fine for carpet but I wouldn’t go too thick for laminate/wood. It’ll be too spongy.
A famous scene from Spnal Tap! You’re have to be a certain age (to remembered Dolby and the film...)
Who's Dobly, anything to Dobby?
Radiators are New. Shipping seems to be the issue with dents etc but great service. I continue to use.
It might be worth knowing that Screwfix are giving away a free thermostatic radiator valve and lockshield with every Kudox radiator including their £20 radiator.
I have used them multiple times. Have to agree that it is a little bit hit and miss. I have received the right and perfedtky good items, the wrong items and damaged items. They have replaced before now without quibble. However, some of those items were damaged as well. Saying that, for the very cheap price I was willing to run the risk. So, overal message is; bit hit and miss, they will replace where necessary, maybe not buy if you are in a hurry to fit, very cheap prices.
It's a retail shop just outside Manchester .it's full of end of line discontinued stock .Some bargains to be had last time I looked but a lot of diy stuff is more expensive than toolstation and screwfix .If buying online you will have usual redress on damaged faulty goods.
How do I stop your stuff showing up in my notifications? It started a few days ago, maybe a week. You are practically spamming my notifications.
Unibond is such a hit and miss company with their products for the sole reason they have such a massive surplus, items they make get stored for years. I brought expensive sealant remover which 3 years ago was great but recently was so bad I got a refund. I have brought anti-mould silicone sealant which half the time works and the other half the time fails so miserably you think you have brought something from the poundshop. Similar experience with grout, with adhesives and a whole host of items from this large yoyo company. Look at the expiry date if you have 2 or more years left use it, if it has a year or is expired, return it! You can get similar items with much better quality control at screwfix/toolstation
Has anybody used this? Have found that not all unibond products are good.
Great, been looking at wooden flooring and didn't realise that being a landlord entitled me to trade discounts 8)
Thanks for this just bought 150m2. Went to see it first and it is top quality flooring. Been looking for many months. Similar quality samples I’ve received are averaging from £37 upwards.
Trade only as in anyone self employed?
24 HOURS BABY THE PARTY DOESNT STOP
What are your bar opening hours?
Seen this on oak floor deal, thought nice. Bought the walnut gloss one from B and Q for about this price for the hall love it, very durable can be a bit slippy a no no for dogs.
yes its deal listed by me in morning..dont forget tcb 6.3
Looks nice is this from the deal on here recently? That's a great price for wood
cant find it on there site?
You can't compare the two products. Entirely different material and quality.
Is it actually oak, though? Doesn't state.
they also do 5% off if you sign up to their newsletter, just go to leave the screen with your mouse if you on a computer
Are there 20 planks
Good for s summer house?
Ok thanks very much going to pop down and have a look
What was the price originally and is it any good and worth buying ???
£15 It's rubberwood, which is the cheapest, but still relatively good but won't stand wear as well as oak, as you'd expect Solid wood flooring is somewhere between £29 (bamboo) - £50 (oak) a square meter so it's cheap enough to replace anyway but only needs to last half as long to be cost effective, and that should be easy.
What was the price originally and is it any good and worth buying ???
It's in Wuster ;)
Drove past it a couple of weeks ago - the kids caught a glimpse of the sign and thought it was blackpool. They were most disappointed.
No idea where Blackpole is, but I can think of a few dirty puns... Best keep them to myself... ;)
You have 45 days to take your sample back to B&Q and get a full refund
Its gona take a lot of 30p samples to do my bedroom
A 0.87x13 inch piece of laminate is not going to help you decide if you want the flooring.
its bad enough charging £2 for a sample then having the cheek to put it in clearance, it should be free or at least get your money back if you buy a pack. I understand why they stopped giving your money back and increasing the cost of sample paint pots as people where buying them to use on recycle jobs, stencils etc but what can you do with a sample of laminate apart from see if it fits in with your decor. I think i have a few lengths of laminate left I might cut them up and sell them for a £1 each and undercut B&Q. Deal wise yeah cheaper than £2, much cheaper but ?
Price is still £2.99 guys. Great for town runner, or if selling a car which needs a bit of TLC. Car mats do wonders!
Heat added. Great price, thanks op.:)
You would be wrong there, presentation is king. Even cheap stuff can swing a sale if brand new and doesn't matter that they last 2 days.
Damn, I need four for the front...!
product code? brand model name? any info please
Good advice there. Now if only I had your DIY skills
After deep scoring use a wide scraper tapped behind the skirting and wall and lever with the crowbar against it so not to damage the wall with the bar, (one of those wide flat bars are better if you have one), try to lever where the nails are rather than in between less chance of breaking the skirting, if the nail pulls through the wood and stays in the wall cut it off with a dremmel don't pull it out as it might bring a chunk of plaster with it (some older houses the nail is in a plug of wood between the bricks, it pulls through the plaster) , (if skirting its stuck on should be easier) its a bit of a chore but so worth it compared to beading, you can then admire a job well done.
If you don't have a local Travis Perkins try Toolstation... it's a little dearer, £25.10 for 10x2.4m so works out at £1.05/metre rather than £0.88p/metre but still a good price if it saves you a long drive.
mine is for kitchen which is 18 years old since new, but kitchen will have complete refurb in 4 years time. have laminate acclimatising at the moment, will prob start the job tomorrow, no much visible skirting anyhow, and have a multitool. Will try taking skirting off with a small jimmy bar i have and a Stanley knife, if it don't work out will use multitool to undercut.
If your skirting is old just under cut it. Scotia just doesn't look as neat.
Every 6-8 weeks they drop the prices by 50% and often offer the additional 15% off.... it's bad they do this in my opinion although if you can wait and you know the prices will in a few weeks then it's worth holding on. I've fitted the Sonora Light Oak and I must admit it does look really nice (not worth the standard £40 per pack though.
Apparently, that 'sale' happens every few months, so don't worry too much about it.
Do you guys know whether this sale get repeated every year? Looking to move into flat/house in 12-18months time but have no room to store these now.
can anyone tell me what it's like for scratches due to dogs on it
basket must be heavy then !
Perfect, had some tiles in the basket for a week now
I am a sucker for this type of deal
That's no way to reveal infidelity
Does this deal suck or not? just askin
There'll be some busy scousers tonight. Just make sue you're windows are internally beaded.
These saved me a LOT of trouble trying to move large glass roof panels that had slipped and jammed, the roofers quoted hundreds and were not even available for weeks! I bought 2 pairs for £14-15 and still have them, so this is a steal. Heat!
