Brand outlets near New York

Best one I have came across is Woodbury Common is about an hour outside New York but there’s a bus that takes you there from the bus station has pretty much everything in one place highly recommended there’s also a few in New Jersey is you don’t fancy the bus journey but really not as good

I was in NYC for work last week and TBH was disappointed with the sales or lack of, though the craft market stalls were quite nice and a little different to UK stalls (though not all independent sellers).

The bud to Jersey Gardens is easy from port authority. Get the ticket from the machine by the entrance - takes 30-45 mins. Prepare to get there 30 mins early as there can be a queue.

Take your passport and go to the concierge desk for a book of coupons.

Most of the sales now are buy 1 full price get a 2nd 1/2 price or similar, unfortunately no where near as good as several years ago, but can still find some good stuff, just don’t go expecting $20 Levi’s etc, you won’t find that sort of bargain anymore.

Bud back can be packed, seen people take empty suitcases on way out to fill up and bring back, if you KNOW you will be spending regardless maybe an idea.

The Mills at Jersey Gardens is near Newark airport, you can get to it by bus

It costs on average about £25 by bus to get to most of them now and there are minimum purchase limits in some shops to take advantage of discounts. You’d be better off saving your bus fare or taxi fare and putting that into shopping in nyc itself. Remember the exchange rate is not that good at the moment so any savings that way will also be minimal.

No worth it in my experience.
