Information on an old gun.

Posted 18th Jun 2023
Hi all , just wondering whether anyone can shed some light on this old gun.
All I know is that it is a British Musket.
If anyone can put a date on when this particular one was made that would be great. Thanks

What do we know about guns? We rob pricing-error websites and steal "new customer only" promotions with multiple fake email addresses.

Ask on dedicated gun forums instead. I doubt anyone on HUKD would have a clue lol

Looks more like a single barrel shotgun to me.

In fact, that is what I will say it is.

Could be a single shot rifle maybe, but the barrel looks to big to me. Post a photo of the top starting at the hammer going down the barrel. (edited)

This will give you more information on the stock shape. Might help narrowing it down but unless it has hidden markings or engravings then this will just be a standard shotgun that might have been cut in half by bank robbers in the 60s if they came across it.

You need to see if it is deactivated. Not that it wouldn't blow up in your face if you actually fired it. Inside the barrel will probably be in poor condition too. (edited)
