Any way to switch mobile provider immediately and keep number?

My 14 days cooling off period is "before 03/07/2023" and I would like to leave the context due to poor 4g/5g coverage. Is there any option for me to switch today? I don't mind where as long as I'm not locked in so i can then hunt around after. Thanks

Have you contacted the network to cancel because it's 02/07/2023 today?

Contacted but couldn't get through before closing. Looks like there's no solution so will probably have to suck it up

The depts that handle number porting only work Mon to Fri, so no. No porting happens over the weekend.

If you provide a PAC code to any other network right now, it won't be actioned until tomorrow now. Before 5PM Tomorrow they'd take the code and port your number to the new network some time on Tuesday.

HOWEVER. That doesn't mean you are stuck. You should still be able to give your notice to the company today to say you want to cancel. They should then be able to disconnect your contract and give you a PAC code, or move your account to pay as you go leaving you up to a month to sort things out however you want.

Thanks for your response. They were closed for the day when I called earlier. Think I'll just have to suffer it for a year and take it as a lesson learnt.

Does the company have an email address? Perhaps can try to email today, as email sent within 14 days it could work in terms of notifying them within 14 days

Can you swap to 30 day payg on the same network, thus avoiding losing cooling off opportunity? You cannot change networks on a weekend, but a tariff change should be easy to do online. Then you'll have a bit more time.
