Allergy test

Hello good people .
I have been to see Dr about an allergy test but been told the NHS doesn't do tests anymore.
So I've been looking for a private place where I can do this test.
I came across this website who say they can do tests for £25 using 4-5 strands of hair.
Not heard that before. I thought any allergy test would involve skin or blood test.
Any help and advice much appreciated.

All these "intolerance" tests are scams and have no basis in science.

The "methods" they used have no way of detecting such intolerance.

That website looks like a scam to me. Even if it was possible to test for allergies using hair, it definitely wouldn't be that cheap. The address given is for rental offices and there are many bad reviews for this company. (edited)

Those strands test are not accurate. Have a look at allergy clinics near yourself. I had to travel to Manchester via the nhs for one a few years back

Food intolerance and according to that link, they check 900 different allergies...

Perhaps it differs by NHS Trusts, My son has had NHS allergy tests before and is booked in for another in a few weeks time. (edited)

Allergies by their nature are an over-reaction so they're usually pretty difficult to miss.

What is it that you're after from a test?
