Are you going to get one ? Like gold dust at the minute and silly price on eBay .
I really like the watch at a affordable price even if it is plastic .
Apparently stock will be online in next few weeks if anyone has any heads up on possible stock drop it in here

I’m going for this

sorted byThis, to me, is more Swatch than Omega. What it is doing though, is introducing new blood to the brand that probably hadn't even heard of the Moonwatch and it's legendary exploits until now. This thing is plastic, battery operated and £200. There's no way anyone is going to mistake this for a real Moonwatch. What's more, some who what's to buy a real one isn't going say 'hey, they have a Swatch that looks a bit like a Moonwatch now, I'll just buy one of those instead'.
In the end, there's going to be loads of people out there happy with their £200 Swatch telling everyone how they got it, why they chose the colour, why they chose the planet motif they did and how they're one day going to buy a real Omega.
I think it's a really well planned risk. (edited)
My thoughts exactly.
I'm sure future Omega Swatch branded watches will be big sellers too but in the long term they run the risk of seriously damaging the Omega brand. (edited)
well put, i see where you are coming from. if swatch had just put the speedmaster/moon watch without omega branding i doubt it would be so popular it's an ugly watch always has been. it looks better in the brighter colours tbh. there will be a lot of people buying thinking oh an omega don't under estimate the stupidity of some.
I get why they have done it pure profit and it may get some people who buy one a push to buy an original..
Might be time to sell my planet ocean or at least relegate it to the back of collection.. (edited)
I definitely think this is a commercial idea to push the brand out to everyone on the high street and like you say some more push on and buy the more expensive lines
omega only had expensive lines till this cheap rubbish. the whole point of omega was it was a well built, premium product. now every commoner will have an omega brand watch be it with swatch written on it as well and not so well built.
i've never been into rolex, i own a few watches from diffrent brands what cost a bit with omega being one of them, but this doesn't sit right with me personally.
but after this i won't buy another omega, i was looking at the aqua terra. but i will probalby buy a rolex which i never thought i would...
Blasphemy! The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch is one of the most iconic, good looking, watches ever made!!
To your final point. I'm of the mindset that if there's a regular Joe that's not into watches that goes out on a whim and buys a MoonSwatch because he thinks it's an Omega, I say good for him. If he then starts his journey to learn and enjoy watches, all the better.
If a dad who has a Omega Moonwatch who then decides to buy a Swatch for his son so they can bond over them. Fantastic.
If a mega watch fan buys one because the can't afford a real one yet but this will give him/her the same joy for now (until they can actually buy one), that's great news.
If it attracts a new generation of watch fans (not just to Omega but any brand) I'm all for it.
This is breath of fresh air in the watch industry. This is exactly the opposite what Rolex is doing. Rolex is creating desire but alienating fans. I loved watching the reveals of the new Rolexes but I could help but feel disappointed that I'll likely never see one, let alone buy one.
I really hope it pays off for Swatch/Omega.
I have the Aqua Terra. It's my favourite. Even more so than the Rolex Submariner I have. The trouble you're going to find is that if you go into a Rolex boutique, you won't be able to buy a Rolex. I'm not saying you won't be able to buy the Rolex you want, I'm saying you won't be able to buy any Rolex. If you're super super lucky they may have a used one traded in that they'll be selling over list price but unlikely. The most likeliest way you'll end up buying a Rolex is probably paying double the RRP on the grey market (that's how I got mine). Now that doesn't sit right with me.
It’s about building up a customer profile and buying history with a company. If you buy from a company they are more willing to help. In the last 10 month alone I’ve bought a planet ocean, oris caliber 400 and a Tudor 1926. Not counting the others I have bought over the years.
as for second hand Rolex there is a shop in town, every time I look in shop they always have 1 or 2.
which aqua did you get? I liked the one showing the land in the center. But as stated before after this swatch collaboration no more omegas for myself.. (edited)
Additional. Only available in-store at Edinburgh and the 3 Swatch locations in London. Also, pot luck whether they have any stock in at any given time. Good luck.
I live miles away from London or Scotland so that's me out. (edited)
