Question on Onestream broadband change of address

Posted 23rd Jun 2023
Just spoke to Onestream and they are saying I will be charged £120 just to move the address in order to continue the contract.

They also said if I cancel my current contract it will cost more than £200. ...

Trying to understand is there any other way to save money due to a fixed contract (I feel I made a mistake by signing up to a fixed contract)

Maybe an installation charge at the new address? Can't expect the company to foot the bill for that. By the time you pay for engineer wages, civils, transport etc.

Some companies allow you to move home free of charge, but it's dependent on company and whether they already have the line/infrastructure in place.

Sounds like the ol “I’m moving to Hull” method needs deployed here.(flirt)

Read the Terms and Conditions of the Contract you signed and see if the charges are correct. And take it from there.

    Home mover fee £59.00
where that £59.00 fee will include VAT as it is lifted directly from OS Residential Price Guide dated 21 March 2023.

    First step:
request itemisation of the stated £120 fee.

    Three weeks on.
Has Onestream explained the difference between its t&c-stated
    Home mover fee £59.00
and the charge it originally presented to you of
£120 just to move the address
    ?
