I have mk2 cans - They are very good and comfy, but quite big.

Smithington

You need to try before you buy. Those are 3 very different sounds.

Gibzen

These are closed back. Fidelio’s are open and sound slightly better. But these are about as good as will get for less than £200 for closed. These sound better than SR60s but arent as portable. Not sure what you said for Focal.. comes up as bunch of emojis.

Which brand and model of bluteooth headphones are you talking about and secondly s9 and s9 plus have the best built quality in the market right now.

ihaveaquestion

The point I was making to the poster (regarding postage), is that if it doesn't turn up it's not the end of the world. I didn't think I'd stumbled upon some kind of lifehack or pot of gold. Yes, I'm paying about what the items are worth ;)

Heard these are a good headphones, nice sound and comfortable. Reviews:
Stallzy

I picked these up a few months ago, they've been around this price for a while. I got mine for £167 so only a few pounds cheaper but it's a steal either way. Got mine paired with a fairly inexpensive Fiio D03K DAC and the popular Magni 3 amp

PressPlay

Not sure I can take a review seriously from a middle age man with an anime chick as his wallpaper.

enfluence1

Well, I personally use audioengine A5+ speakers so the audio engine d1 Dac was best for me as it has a headjack port on it as well, one of the very few that have both. If your just after one for just the headset id definitely recommend the audioengine d3.

rev6

Which?

enfluence1

These are great can vouch for them. Would definitely recommend a DAC.

CABellamy

Yup those are the ones. Fit perfectly and actually offer more padding and a better fit than the originals in my opinion.

Salazaar

I've had a set of these in black for a couple of year now. Very nice, compact headphones.

THEMOSH70

These are the pads that you are referring to I think --> https://www.amazon.co.uk/REYTID-Y45BT-Replacement-Black-Cushion/dp/B01MA3OZOJ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1526472346&sr=8-1&keywords=akg+y45bt+ear+pads

Banzibarn123

Mine split too. (After 2yrs +). Paid £30 for new ones directly from AKG. Bit pricey. Great headphones though.

CABellamy

The same thing happened to me, I just found some replacements on amazon for a tenner. Wish I knew about the warranty as mine are still within it. I might try my luck with them to get a free spare set out of them. They are a 3 part pad (a bit that fits onto the speaker, a sponge and then an outside but that touches your ears) just glued together so even with careful usage this is bound to split eventually. They are easy to replace though, just slide the old ones off and slide the new ones on. A bit fiddly but easy enough job.

Marky_Boi

Just a note: I've had a few pairs of AKG's and sound quality has be amazing on all I've owned.. But some of the components do fracture easily on normal usage. (I have a desk job and never take them out). When they have started to degrade, AKG customer services have been outstanding. I purchased from Amazon, and yet outside the guarantee they replaced the item after providing evidence I'd broken up the old set.... For that reason I will always stay with this Brand (and the fact the sound is great).

Deal_guy

Amazon are doing a lightning deal (£50.9 instead of £59) today on the Taotronics noise cancelling headphones BT22 if anyone is interested. Decent reviews too.

creamycaptainjack

Mine just broke !!! Great headphones thank god they are guaranteed

BattleCat

I agree. The latency is a deal breaker for me. I can delay the audio offset in some apps but youtube and Netflix is out of sync. The sound signature is bass heavy as you said, which I quite like to be fair. I guess that's subjective, but I'm annoyed about the latency enough to return them. Shame, otherwise a great deal

They were Sony ones I had the problem with!. It was the shape/size of the headphone in my case that was the issue. This is fixed and cannot be changed. There were silicone pieces also but these made no difference as the main piece was just ‘too big’. No one else wanted them either as they wouldn’t fit in their ears!

Sawb

Stop buying cruddy ones, all in ear ones ive purchased (sony/sennheisers) have 3 sets of silicone pieces to accommodate different ear sizes, goes for the cheap xiaomi ones that get posted on here (i believe) aswell,

steve765

Yes. I found the same with other makes also. Completely useless due to their large size. And quite often you don’t find this out until you gave opened the sealed packaging (are out of the shop) so you can’t take them back either!. Maybe they are not for purpose...however I guess they must fit someone so you probably can’t go down that road either!. So frustrating. I’m sure manufacturers are aware of this but you have given them your money by then & it’s too late!

Rimi

Buy yourself and you will have a proof.

norville555

Bought these from hmv at 3.99, they are massive, won’t fit in my ears or any of my family so binned them. would be ok if you had a set of rugby players ears..

I'm returning mine as sound quality was not as expected. My bludio headphones much louder, clearer and heavier on bass so really disappointed with this AKG.

red5

I bought a pair of these today but to be honest I'm not particularly impressed. I have a pair of AKG K451 and I think the new pair I bought today sound muddy, I also note they are not nearly as loud as my k541's and that's a problem for me. Shame as I really wanted to like them.

leafmulch

Thanks OP - got a pair yesterday. They seem pretty decent for the money. Not sure how robust they are, but quite good quality and decent enough sound quality with bluetooth/aptx from my phone. Now the question is will these last any longer than a nice pair or IEMs (before the cable breaks)! :{

Fraser_Poole

I have a pair of audio technica m50 and jbird freedom 2, I was hoping these would slot in above the jbirds in quality but be more portable than the audio technica's. They are way too bass heavy at the expense of everything else, quite disappointing.

What makes you think I haven't?

k500zm

You're talking rubbish - all you need for DJ headphones is for them to be extremely loud so that when you are on stage and the speakers are so loud because there are two thousand people listening to you you can actually monitor your mix correctly in time with the source and not the speakers which are delayed and believe me I've been DJing round the world for 20 years Great Find OP - just what I need - the amount of times my phones have gone missing or I forgot them these are perfect ;)
