Do you care for on-ear? I can't stand it so I'd rather either of the two you mentioned. Plus they're wireless and ANC

Zaxxan

Brilliant headphones, well worth £50

nathanlhughes

I've had these for 3 years. I needed a replacement cable last year and akg provided it for free. Hot

christopherrosenfeld

Does anyone have experience with AKG Y50 (or wireless version) and Taotronics TT-BH22UK or iTechnic IK-BH002. I would prefer better sound quality over noise cancellation capability. Do the AKG have an equaliser to adjust output? I'm a novice so not sure I'm using the right terminology.

isitnexttohim

Ive had these then sold them to update to the BT version as said above superb headphone, sadly they are a bit heavy/big for commuting etc in my opinion - I used them while car cleaning in a weekend and when you bend down they moved a lot so not good for use while working, however sat at home or at my desk in work they are lovely headphones and nicely built

These are great for practicing bass guitar. The difference between these and the MK2 version is purely cosmetic so the MK1 is the better deal.

Can't seam to find this deal anymore, looks like it's experied.

PortmanRoad

Thanks for that, although it seems like all the headphones are now gone so I think I'll be sticking the Nexus a while longer.

madmurd

Must be second or third list I’ve seen for tab s2’s, must be finally off loading old stock, decent tabs for low money

Rich069

Had the Nexus 9 also-loved it, but did get a bit slow. Youll like this though, slightly bigger (the 9.7 version) , brighter, but very good screen, but still light. As long as you get along with the Samsung stuff compared to the bare Android, youll find it fine. And its got more storage (and sd card slot). A bargain at £229 with the free Headphones.

Swidc

C50BT worth 60 max. Great sound quality terrible built quality, mine broke after 3 months, Argos had so many issues with these that they gave me the money back straight away.

basergorkobal

Not bad. Great deal if you want the headphones. They're average at best. The phone is nice and good value.

Not in person, my s9 plus seems heavier

Pondlife

It's a big phone with a big battery. Lighter than Note 8 and 9 and xs max. Massive 2g more than Mate 20 pro. 7g more than Pixel 3 XL.

Yeah....the cloud 2 has the velour pads. There's also the newer alpha model at the same price.

rev6

The MKII version of these come with pleather and velour pads and 2 cables. More expensive though.

frogbog

Not too high unfortunately...the absolute max is £70. I don't mind headphone or headset, although i'd prefer a headset for gaming. The only one with velour pads, I could find was the HyperX Cloud 2 for £69.99.

rev6

Sweaty ears is a problem. If you're going for open then get some with velour pads or buy some for them, otherwise you'll probably still suffer. The ones here come with pleather which aren't breathable but certainly better than closed and pleather. What's your budget?

frogbog

Hi @rev6 I'm looking for budget over-ear headphones. Since I get sweaty ears, I was told it would help to have them semi-open, although it also could be caused due to the leather pads. Any recommendations?

I'm no audiophile but personally I bought ex shop display models of the akg k702 for £78 and audio technika ath-m50x for £76. One open back and one closed back they are both brilliant headphones but for everyday listening of music I'd say get these. I only added my input as it says these will give you an accurate mix and they definitely won't lol

Hi, These are great headphones but please note I bought these on Amazon less than 6 months ago for £10 less than that at £24.99 a pair via Prime Exclusive. The deal was on HUKD then. The current Amazon price is £39.99 on Amazon and as Sam say's above, after shipping it'll be cheaper via Amazon. I would rate the headphones as very good though.

I went for this deal through Top Cash Back (15%), and I'm a little disappointed to be honest. I was apprehensive anyway before I made the purchase as it's a tablet from 2015. I've always wanted the Samsung S2 though. But I can see and feel the difference. It is a good tablet and super thin and light, but the screen isn't as good as I expected and I can't stand bezels now. I think the £250 is too much, and it should be at £200 max. If you really have to get it, get a used one on eBay. As for the headphones - too bulky, and they have already broke. :(

SClub

This is the newer 2016 version with Snapdragon CPU according to the Currys website. Just pulled the trigger as Quidco are offering an additional £10 cashback on top of the 15%. Battery on mine has worn a bit, so will replace with a new S2 for pretty much zero cost once existing S2 and new headphones are sold and cashback is paid. Assuming it is paid :) #coolstory I know lol

brettreading

Thanks. Not really problems from what I read just a different processor? I'll let you know what one I get when I pick it up tomorrow.

I have these. If you want closed back they're comfortable and a decent SQ for the asking price. Unless you buy Grado (open back and uncomfortable) there's probably nothing much for under a £100 to beat them. If you pay £150 get the jubilee from massdrop.

Had a set for a couple of years now, had to replace the pads with some from eBay as the original ones lost there coating. Use them with a Plenue D and they sound great with good sound isolation ideal for flying with. They are a bit big though so no lying in bed with them on

buggle52

Same here, I use a Little Dot I+ headphone amp, as I find the headphone sockets on most devices disappointing (for these, and other headphones). The sound is just mushy and indistinguishable in comparison.

OGNinjaDon

Yeah they are awesome, only thing is I use headphones in bed and these were just ridiculously sized

OGNinjaDon

You officially succeeded

H0TD3ALz

I have had mine for a couple of years now and there still my goto set of headphones. I like their natural/neutral presentation across all genres of music. Powering them from your average smart phone doesn't really do them justice so i bought the dragonfly external DAC to get more out of them and those 2 together sound great.

I bought some. I have tried so many headphones from Sony, Bang and Olufsen, B+W, Grado, Powerbeats 3 and these are the first Bluetooth headphones that actually really exceptional. They sound like a wired (wireless) pair. I can see why What Hi-Fi gave them 5 stars. Bass is deep and punchy (rather than slow and lumpy). Midrange is clear, treble is superb. They are a superb pair of headphones. By default they use AptX in OS X. I switched to AAC and the sound was pretty much the same but there was lag. Delay test: Turn enable or disable AAC or AptX try (OS X only): Terminal commands for enabling AAC and aptX CodecsTo enable aptX, input the following command, press Enter, and type your user password if prompted: sudo defaults write bluetoothaudiod "Enable AptX codec" -bool true Alternatively, to enable AAC, input the following and press Enter: sudo defaults write bluetoothaudiod "Enable AAC codec" -bool true To disable either codec via Terminal, simply replace -bool true with -bool false at the end of the command.

They looked on the website and pointed out that it was only on the galaxy. I didn’t notice the offer while the S3 was in stock so I thought they were right.
