So, I'm moving into my first house on Wednesday and need to buy a washer. You think great let's use the power of Google and Internet to find the answer... No joke literally every brand is destroyed in some way and is making it a hard choice. Here are the options I've mainly been looking at.
1- Samsung Series 5+ (but the depth of these are insane compared to any other brand so makes it hard for me to commit)
2- Haier i-Pro Series (just can't find enough info about this brand)
3- LG (just are really expensive)
4- AEG (50/50 reviews from what I can see)
Can anyone comment on the above or have any suggestions?
(Budget ideally don't want to go over £800)

what more can you ask for?
In your case of £800 budget you need it to last 12yr minimum fault free.
Thats presuming a £200 machine will break and be uneconomical to fix every 3yr.
From memory here's my washing machine list for last 20yr.
Hoover washer drier lasted about 3yr (worst thing ever and most expensive)
Beko roughly 7
Daewoo 8yr
Logik currently 2yr
Tumble drier is Beko and currently 17yr old.
All machines will have been cheapo ones bought brand new and they do get a hammering. I use washing machine every single day at leat once.

Bosch all the way for us. Definitely not any of the Hotpoint brands. (edited)
Washing machines 20% off with code NECTARCYBER | eBay
If you don't have a the Nectar offer you can use CYBER15 for 15% off.
However, there are still deals elsewhere which may be better dependant on which model you want to go for.
Also, check machines that have a hot and cold fill. There are a few available. Used to be the norm way back when, not so much now.
If I was around I would probably have gone for a Miele.
Advantage of hot and cold fill - faster wash time.
Disadvantages - uses water from your immersion tank (can be a pain when you want a shower and the washing machine has used all the hot water). If you put a wash on too hot you have very little time to correct it.
Check out the user reviews on the current models, I'd say it was shocking if it wasn't utterly predictable. Miele and Siemens group (Siemens, Bosch and neff) are all the same, a shadow of what they were. I said on another discussion but I wouldn't be inclined to have any of those again, they're just trading on the name at this point. (edited)
I read that they had introduced cheaper models which aren’t built the same but the higher range stuff is still supposed to be good.
My samsung was just normal depth like every other washer, is the specific model you're looking at deeper for some reason ?
AEG, Zanussi, are Electrolux brand names.
Zanussi will probably be a better price than AEG for the equivalent machine. (edited)
Advantage of hot fill is cheaper to run if your hot water is heated by gas, or solar hot water panels and also the element in the machine will last longer (although they are an easy DIY job to replace). However, if the machine is on a long run of pipe from the combi-boiler / hot water cylinder and the water in the pipe has gone cold because you haven't used a hot tap on the run of pipe for a long while, it may only get hot water towards the end of the fill and not save much, as the usual dumb design draws in cold water first, rather than drawing off any cold water in the hot pipe first. If you want quieter and with better tech the get Siemens, they are the premium version of Bosch.
If money is not concern then Miele.
