    One of the less publicised strikes;

    Looks like it's resolved now, but it'll still take time to get back to full supply.

    Yes, my dad's on the look out too, though it's surprising you've been to ten stores without luck. If I find any I'll let you know as I'm Hull based too.

    Is there anything finer than butter spread on a cracker?

    Get some Carr's Table Water and you'll never touch a cream cracker again. The black pepper ones are THE cracker to beat.

    Aye, I have been known to sit down with a pack of black pepper crackers and a wheel of Boursin, and not get up until both are finished....

    I find them a bit dry,

    Plus they also break too easily and don't flush very well!

    Not as traumatic as the great bourbon cream shortage last year, after which only poor imitations found their way back into supermarket own brand ranges.

    Thought I was going mad! Couldn’t find any in the run up to Christmas and still can’t ! not even a cheap knock off version.

    No problems in North Wales getting them

    I'm in North Wales and having trouble I think it's Llandudno Junction Tesco & Asda that deliver here, the only ones they had were the littlest Jacobs ones, which are 3x the price of the own brand and 2/3 the size.

    Did anyone notice that in the run up Christmas, you could only buy the more expensive Jacobs crackers, no store brands of cracker were available.

    By the way farm foods had alternative brand of crackers - bought some last week.

    Found a Jacobs tub of crackers in Poundland in the run up to christmas for a £5 , was surprised as I knew there was supply issues due to a recent industrial dispute , only about 5 tubs available at the time (Leytonstone), those and the Carrs chilli crackers (49p) from farm foods I spotted back in August have seen me through Christmas!
