Hi,
The WiFi on my Samsung TV has stopped working. It no longer produces a WiFi mac address. The TV is now directly connected to the router via a network cable.
Phone and TV are on the same network. Should I still able to cast to the TV from my phone?
The TV is no longer appearing in the Smart view list.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

sorted byYou should still be able to use protocols like DIAL which a lot of casting uses - launching a corresponding app on the TV from an app on your phone to continue viewing something on a larger screen.
My cheap LG TV is seamless casting or mirroring from Windows\ipads\phones etc. with no extra apps to install.
At the moment I can get any mirroring to work at all unless I use something like all cast and even then that's application mirroring, not the entire screen.
Have you tried something like all cast?
TV has come up as a cast device and a Apple TV device.
Many Thanks
