Hi all
I'm taking the family to Bonnie Scotland at Easter, basically half way between Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Can i ask for suggestions of attractions/things to do with them? They are 4 and 10 years old, so anything educational and fun,
Thanks in advance

The Kelpies and Falkirk wheel are worth a visit, only a few miles between them so can do them both in a day.

Camera Obscura in Edinburgh right near the castle is worth a visit. Kids will love it and you get a brilliant view on the top floor.

We did a pony trek that went through some forests, across some fields and then down on to the beach. They both loved it (as did I!), and with stopping for food on the way back it was a pretty full day even though it was only an hours ride.

The scenery up north is quite spectacular, and seeing it on horseback was just amazing.

Loch Lomond is lovely and has a sea life centre. Not been in a few years but seemed ok. There's also Stirling castle and Glasgow science museum a short train ride away.

Riverside museum Glasgow is great for kids. if you're visiting the kelpies, don't forget the Falkirk wheel. Edinburgh castle and the zoo, although that is on a very steep hill. There's loads and loads for kids in the area

Kelvingrove museum is near the Riverside Museum as well.

And the People's Palace the other direction in Glasgow.

The National Wallace Monument + Stirling castle & not far from that there's a very unique Christmas shop.
Whitelee Wind Farm (biggest onshore Windfarm in UK & it's free) + Calderglen country park (it also has a zoo), if you go there, then check out Carrigans eating house - that's very nice.
Loch Lomond - we usually walk up to Balloch castle and have a picnic there, there's a kiddies park nearby. Then go to Luss and walk through the village to the beach & maybe get an ice cream Then there's a fairy trail nearby, if your kids are in to that.
It all depends if you have a car, how many days you need to plan and if there's a budget.
I've been in Scotland for 3 years now with little children & done loads. Lots of free stuff to do as well.
