HelloFresh Charging

Posted 26th Jun 2023
Afternoon, just a quick one... I was sent a 65% from Pact Coffee for HelloFresh, so I signed up to HelloFresh, ordered my 5 meals on Thursday which was £14.35, got an e-mail saying I could change my order until Saturay.
On Saturday I changed one item.
Today I've noticed two transactions on my bank £14.35 and £28.90 from HelloFresh.
I've rang them, but their saying all my items are Premium and cost more! I didn't get this on the e-mail, just said £14.35 plus all my items must have been Premium to start with! I only changed one.
Just wanting to know if this has happened to anybody else as I'm super pee'd off at this point.
They said its to late to cancel and nothing can be done!

I'd ring them again and tell them to collect boxes as you don't want them due to the price. And they might refund you
A few months back when I joined with a discount code I decided to cancel before the cut off date as I was going to get a gousto box instead. For some reason the charged me best part of £90 plus delivered two boxes whilst I was out. Rang up was given refund and told yo do what I want with the boxes.

They really just don't seem to care and said I should have looked!
I've asked multiple times why did I get an email stating £14.35 and no mention of the £28.90!
Really bad company by the sounds of things.
I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and never use them again

If you do decide to ditch HelloFresh, take a look at Gousto.
They have more meal choices weekly, we e been using them for about 4 years and saves so much hassle of meal planning and shopping.

Couple if people have mentioned that one, is there an intro price like % off or anything?

As above I'd be inclined to phone back and tell them you were looking forward to being a customer but if they don't sort it then this'll be a one off purchase, they obviously base their business on repeat orders so hopefully they should shift their attitude.

On a side note I think they use Evri so if you don't answer the door the parcel will be left in the pouring rain or worse blazing sun so maybe you could use that as an option to request a refund if that actually happens.

Got a reward from Confused.com and chose a HelloFresh 2-Person 3-meal box as the reward . Had to create a HelloFresh account, ordered the box, submitted the code supplied by Confused.
All well & good I thought. Next thing I knew full amount for the said box had been taken from my bank account. Took a while, over phone to get the rather arrogant customer service advisor to even acknowledge the existence of said Confused reward.

I eventually got a refund from HelloFresh - less one pence!

Box turned up on time, but due to hot weather - meats in the box had defrosted, so they went in the bin. All rather unsatisfactory.

CHECK YOUR HELLFRESH ACCOUNT! Milne was set for a periodic weekly subscription - meaning more boxes would be sent out. Supposedly needed to cancel subscription 5 DAYS BEFORE DELIVERY WAS DUE.

    Bunch of Weasels, imo. (edited)
