I'm not wanting one that will fast charge via cable, I want one that will fast charge via this wireless charge pad, but having realised it will only standard charge the iPhone 8 I don't need one now anyway haha. Thanks for the input though.

if you are charging 2+ devices that 'require' speed charging on a daily basis at once, i would go for this one. will be less strain to the charger.

this does not mean that the other charges (with lower W and A) will not work, but they will be less efficient.

If your device does have a max voltage of 5V and max current of 2.5A, i believe with the iSmart 2.0 you should get the same/identical speed results.

If you have recent mobile smart phones or tablets i would recommend something with 4A+. If you are going to charge regularly more than 2 devices at once, and you need 'fast charging', i would recommend spend a couple £ more and get something with 8A/40W+ just on the safe side to avoid burning the house down!

Didn't work on a 1.6L petrol. Just flashed red and green, indicating 'standby.' Tried more than one arrangement to ensure a solid connection. Got solid green only by holding the boost button, but car wouldn't start.

The Green Flag breakdown guy who came to jump the car said the car battery was 390A so a claimed peak 400A power bank, which likely doesn't perform to the stated values, might struggle; the breakdown company's car jump batteries were rated for 1000A of current and started the car immediately. Battery assessed as being in a healthy condition.

This power bank sent back to Amazon as not fit for claimed purpose.

They work ok is your car battery is slightly discharged but usually the …They work ok is your car battery is slightly discharged but usually the only time you need one of these is when something has been left on and the battery has gone flat. When that happens this type of Jump Starter simply isn't up to the job.Tried four different sizes of these Jump starters from Amazon and ended up sending them all back. Much better to get a decent set of jump leads.

Actually my daughters Peugeot 308 was flat as a pancake this weekend, and one of these (albeit slighty meatier - was the DBPower 10800 500ah model) started it no problem at all. They are a brilliant piece of kit.

Jump leads don't help you if there is no other car to connect them to, and these days on modern cars you also run the real risk of frying your ECU (or their ECU) using jump leads, which can be a very very costly thing. You should also not connect jump leads whilst the key is in the ignition:-

"Don't connect the jump leads with the key in the ignition; insert the key only after the leads have been connected. Connecting the leads with the key in the ignition may corrupt the coding between the key and the ECU. In some cases that's irreversible, which could cost you a new key or a new ECU - or both

ok this is dodgy as hell, it won't accept my review but i am verified purchase! and i thought there were some less than 4 star reviews before, but they've all gone.

No idea, they just don't want us having cool stuff
I have a very similar one (maybe even a re-brand of this).

Never used it myself on my Ford 2.0 litre diesel, but a guy at work had a flat battery a few days ago and wanted a regular jump start (cables attached and everything).

Anyhow, told him I could try with my booster, but when I hooked it up it only had around 45% charge.

But sure enough, It only went and started his 2.5 litre petrol with a look of WTF? on his face LOL

Not sure how well it would work with a high compression diesel though.

It does charge and play the Switch, quickly too, if you have a USB-C to USB-C cable that is. I got this powerbank for the Nexus 6P about 2 years ago because it was the only powerbank which would fast charge it. I still use it to this day and it's the best powerbank I've ever seen. With the Nexus 6P charger I have, it only takes 3-4 hours to fully charge this as well. The 'iSmart' USB socket also charges my iPhone faster than with the included mains adapter in the box.
