Hoover washer dryer E03 error code

So we have been getting this code come up for some time. Near to the end of the cycle E03 comes up. We then switch off the machine. Select rinse and spin and it drains and finishes.

I've checked the filter. Its clear.
Checked the drainage pipe. It's clear.
Checked the sink it's connected to. It's clear.

I've done 90deg cycle with soda crystals and it completes it cycle with no error message.

Do a normal daily 59 minute wash again and get the E03 error message.

Then try a Eco 20 Deg wash and it completes fine.

So on the main daily 59 wash I get the error message. Any idea what the fault could be?

I would disconnect the drainage pipe and have it going in to a large container, set the washer on to a normal daily 59 minute wash again and keep emptying the container. If the error doesn't show then the problem is with everything beyond the drainage pipe, if the error does show then it's the washer.

Google is awash with guidance on this.

I fixed an e03 error code on my old model by replacing the heating element, was easy to do but the element was fifty quid from memory and same failed again a year later so was just cheaper to buy a new machine and not buy hoover again

Have you checked where the water is re-routed outside the house into a drain?

Perhaps the cover is blocked or one of the external drainpipes has become twisted so that the full volume of water cannot be evacuated as required.

If the error still comes up, check the impeller on the pump can be turned freely, and check if the machine has drained properly, just in case it is the water level sensor.

Does this machine use an old fashioned water level (air pressure) sensor that contains microswitches and a diaphragm and connected by a narrow air tube to the sump, because I seem to recall one in an old machine of ours used to regularly get blocked up by suds, limescale etc and sometimes a hot wash would temporarily get it working, although it usually needed taking apart and unblocking.

Also try to find a hover service manual as it should tell you if there is a test mode, my current zanussi for example can be set to fill or drain and show a water level counter on the display as it does so. (edited)

Thanks Joey. It's annoying as it's only 2 years old and we paid £500 for it. Hoover never again.

Thanks Fan. Yes there are no blockages there either.

Unless the different cycles have varying throughput volume of water during draining. In the earlier thread it seems that a hotter temperature programme seems to be successful more frequently than a colder wash; not a scientific test, I know, but there may be a clue somewhere in those results.

Blimey I paid less for my Bosch which hasn’t need any parts replacement, only a couple of issues where socks got into the machine and a quick drain off and removal of offending sock and all fine.

If youve tried all of this espares.co.uk/adv…ine

Then suggest you check the drain on your sink, it may be draining too slowly so try some of this and leave it overnight aldi.co.uk/mr-…202 if that doesn’t work then get a new pump and fit it yourself from espares.co.uk

I made my pump pieces because of E03 error. The rotor wasn't centered. The magnet was touching the inside carcas. The pump was very hot when I try to open it. I order a new pump.
