Cost of a replacement LPG boiler

Hi. Im not sure if we have any engineers or people who have recently had one of these replaced but the boiler is for a small one bedroom annex building with 4 double radiators 2 single radiators and a towel rail. It will need to supply heating and hot water. Now the boiler i have been quoted for is a Glow worm energy 7 lpg and the quote is to flush system fit a 15mm magnetic filter and 22mm system filter and supply a new temp controlled thermostat.
The quote is for £2550 inc Vat which seems expensive when the material costs are around £800 including vat.
Also if i use a sole trader who is not vat registered can i get the work (labour) done without paying vat. Any thoughts or experience on this. The area is north norfolk.
Thanks

You wouldn’t have to pay VAT on the labour if you got a sole trader in that is below the VAT threshold.

£2500 seems a bit excessive, we charge £2200~ inc vat for a natural gas Worcester 4000 and all the other bits although this is in the Manchester area so £2500 may be a good price for Norfolk

I’d say get another quote or 2 but definitely do your research on who installs the boiler, if the boiler is installed not to manufactures specifications, your warranty will be completely void. (edited)

Thanks for the feedback , this room at the moment is only used very coccasionally and it worries me that Heat Exchangers on these combi boilers dont seem to have a long life span. Can they be replaced? or if this main part goes do you need to replace boiler?

For Reference : Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000 25kw LPG comes out around £3100 with 10 year Guarantee / Filter / Thermostat etc on BOXT in Norfolk area
