Shell Energy Billing

Posted 1st Mar 2023
I am sick and tired of providing my monthly readings only for Shell to reject them and then bill me what it thinks I have used. So they kept under billing me. So I have called them and they have said it will resolve itself in the next billing cycle it does not. On top my DD amount shows more than what they are actually taking from my account.

So now they have sent a bill that conveniently for them has billed me for usage when it has been the most expensive. I am tired of trying to explain to these idiots.

What if I leave - would that force them to sort it out as then they have to chase me?

It’s their systems. With all the money they’re making and it’s the worst website & App I’ve used. I submit mine every month which I’m happy to do. And then when I get my bill it’s estimated.
Sick of complaining because you get a call from someone in Norway who doesn’t understands English and does nothing to actually help.

I do take photos of my reading before sending them the numbers. (edited)

So it's not just me. Too busy deciding who to pay off with the money they are making than actually dealing with customers.

Send them a photo of your meter to proof your reading is correct? (edited)

Got to admit after the initial changeover from Green Energy which went wrong for a few months(mainly Green Energies fault but also a couple of rubbish advisors) which was resolved in a very satisfactory manner I've had no issues with them.

And twice now I've had automated emails about DD going up,that's been resolved within 5 minutes of calling up and telling them now to change it.

The number that resolved my issue last time was 01179923927 if that helps.

Where do I stand if I just leave and cancel the DD which will then force them to act.

leave and join another supplier, but i wouldn't cancel the DD unless you plan to pay the bill anyway as debt will affect your credit rating.
