Aldi knockoffs

I'm racking my brains here trying to work out the link between Twix and the Aldi knock-off Jive.

Titan is a moon of Saturn, so that links to Mars.
Racer is I presume a reference to Marathon which predated the Snickers name.

So why jive?

Spend a lot of time jointing fibre mate. Splicer does most of the work, I get time to do a lot of thinking.

    Tricky...

Very tenuous perhaps, but possibly inspired by a line from the balcony scene in Romeo & Juliet???:-

"My bounty is as boundless as the sea"

    Twix is 4 letters

    Jive is 4 letters

Both have an I and v and w are similar types of letters

So the names are kind of similar

    Should have called it the

Probably no link with the name to avoid litigation by Mars.

The recipe & colour of the packaging couldn't be trademarked or it expired.

I prefer the Aldi versions, especially the Titan (Mars), less sugary tasting in my opinion.

Good question. Google search says the Twix name is derived from 'twin bix' which I didn't know. I couldn't see anything useful for Jive but the dictionary says that an informal meaning of jive is to taunt or sneer at which is a fun explanation.
