7 year old tablet recommendations

Both of my girls have 10" Amazon Fire Tabs. I have modded both to add the play store. Because of the price point of these (especially around prime days and Black Friday etc) I have not been too worried about them breaking them, compared to a £2/300 tablet. There are loads of easy guides on how to essentially convert these into a standard android tablet. There are also guides to show you how to disable the ads too!! Google is your friend . Weirdly my girls 8 &12 are exceptionally careful with them. 2 years and still going strong!! (edited)

Sure! Give instead Books and building toys. They will thank you in the future

Amazon kids tablet, I've had to use the 2 year guarantee twice over the years we had some and the service has been great. Even when out of warranty i was offered 20% voucher of a new one which I kept until last year's black Friday
