Why was your post in the official gaming thread not enough? I thought that was the whole point of having all the gaming news there?

Also the article is almost 3 weeks old and speculative at this time point. What's the purpose of this topic other than attracting fanboys from both sides? Are you perhaps one yourself? Rather than just an avid gamer or originator of the official gaming thread?

Not the first time the PlayStation has said to be inferior to an Xbox rival. In reality though the differences are is minor it will always come down to the games. (edited)

This will only affect new gamers buying there first console, with backward compatibility and groups of friends buying into the same consoles I don’t see many giving up on there library of digital games. If you have both it’s a double subscription..

till you get both consoles next to each other with the same game on your not going to tell the difference with benchmarks, even then the average gamer wouldn’t be able to tell on the cheap TV set..

one thing that will make me lol is even if it is true and there’s a massive difference all you will get is game exclusives off the ps fanboys... if your in to exclusives that’s fine as long as you don’t mind them on a sub standard machine maybe..

Yawn. We still have fan boys in 2020?!

Sure i read that that one of the big game devs said it's easy to get the best performance out of the PS5 100% of the time and very difficult to get optimal performance out of the Xbox. Regardless this battle won't be won on specs, my money is on Sony to get an even bigger win this time round.

As I and others have said elsewhere, the Xbox can have all the power it wants but it’s all about the games people want to play. I just can’t see myself buying into the Xbox Series X at this point, Microsoft have zero first party studios / franchises that I have any interest in playing etc - this is all subjective of course. Don’t get me wrong I do have both a PS4 and Xbox One currently, I’m not anti-Xbox at all, but I just don’t think I’m in Microsoft’s target market anymore - I’m fine with that. Their X19 event only further cemented my view on that, their focus seems to be on the subscription model and filling Game Pass with cheap and cheerful quick to market games. I’m sure you don’t need a hugely powerful machine for those games though.

If they were both identical there'd be complaints. I'm gaming terms you won't notice the difference. Like when you play the Xbox X or ps pro on a 4K TV is great, your eyes automatically adjust and get used to it. This will be the same and will as always come down to games. Enjoy them they are entertainment. They will both be amazing consoles and better than this generation anyways.

On paper the Sega Saturn was more powerful than the Playstation. Just saying, Not a fanboy. (edited)

Im in on the first console to be hacked to play emulators on.

I have a friend who works for a major games developer/publisher and their own programmers are not impressed with ps5 when compared to Xbox X.
I personally don't care as I am desperate to play god of war 2.
