If you feed them adult food, even just a minute before they turn 1, I've heard that they will turn into a pumpkin.

Adult cat food is same as kitten food if feeding real food and not store rubbish. In wild cats eat small animals and that's it.

Feed raw or something like Katkin and have a happy healthy cat that does small dry non smelly poo. Or feed store bought and have smelly loose ones.

I was feeding our kittens a homemade raw diet (whole ground chicken including bones with cow heart, livers and a few supplements) from the day we got them.

Which food do you intend feeding?

    Yes, you can.
When you have multiple cats of different ages, they tend to mix anyway.

Yes you can , often vets will recommend adult food early for neutered cats as they can put on too much weight from kitten food . Although I’m in the other boat and considering reverting back to part kitten based food for my tiny adult cat .
