Looking for printer for elderly neighbour

Hi everyone,

my neighbour (who's in his 70s) venerable Epson TX/SX 110 printer has died. He's looking for a keenly priced replacement. Something around the £70 mark and with cheap ink, and ease of use.

Thanks for the quick responses. He doesn't do a great deal of printing, and would prefer a colour printer if possible for photos (should of specified, sorry!)

The older epson printers have cheap ink, but the newer ones don't as far as I know
Ones I have had that have cheap ink are
epson sx515w
epson wf 3520
epson xp 760

Anyway if you find a printer have a look on ebay and type in the printers model and then ink and see how much replacements are.

This one is on amazon, £85 but a set of ink is £15 on ebay or £25 for 2 sets, it's not that cheap but cheaper than the £30 a set many of the newer ones are. (edited)

HP's Instant Ink subscription starts at just 99p a month for 10 sheets if he's a light printer with the printers starting bellow £40

If they only want to print mono then i use this and toner is very cheap and lasts forever
