I understand that I need a Revolut card - which I now have but I am not sure - which google account do I use to register?

Do I use my usual gmail account or make up a temp one from google just for payment?

I have a Revolut card and I downloaded a VPN onto my phone - so next step is which email do I use - my own personal outlook or gmail or create a another one just for youtube?

Everyone still automatically points you to India without realising they changed their laws a while back regarding VPN's and data collection (as well as payment processing I think).

    Better to use Argentina IMO.

I'd personally use a fresh email address for YouTube. It keeps it separate from your main google account and minimises the risk on the off chance of any problems.

Does this email address have to be a gmail account or I can use any email address?

This is how I did it: It may work or it may not now... I am using Indian vpn in example below but you can use argentina/turkey instead if you like.

    1. Use Indian VPN
    2. Open incognito mode in chrome.
    3. Make a new gmail with country and address in India somewhere.
    4. Sign it to youtube using new gmail.
    5. Sign up for Premium (will show it in Indian currency).
    6. Add card details and it should go through without an issue.

I used my current gmail email address a while back and it worked fine. Been on the Argentinian one and at first I was getting some Spanish recommendations but it’s learnt my preferences pretty well now when using the radio feature. they put the prices up last year by about 4x but it’s still under £4 for YouTube music and YouTube premium on a family plan. Might be able to get it cheaper by ‘moving’ to India but I’d prefer not to mess!

I had a nightmare doing this the other week for a mate (mac user)

In the end, after googling, I used the VPN India app, and did a 12 month sub for him, a recurring monthly sub seems to be impossible in india

I think the laws have changed and most VPN providers don't put you in India anymore (edited)

what payment method did you use

I get to the stage of getting youtube to charge in rupees or Argentina Pesos but then afer that it fails.

    I keep getting payment failures.

I'm doing Turkey and Revolut with a monthly family subscription. If you want a family subscription make sure you create the group before you pay for premium.
I created a new gmail address just to keep things separate in case of any problems.

I created a gmail account plus three others and put them on to a family plan (no VPN).
I then used Windscrbe on Firefox set to Turkey and went to YouTube Premium.
I select "Try it for free" however the currency was showing as £ after the 1 month trial
On the 'Complete your purchase' pop up I enter my Revolut Visa card details however the address location is set to United Kindom GB. There is no option change to Turkey and the price is showing £11.99 after 1 month free trial.

Any way to get round this?
