Have up to 90 days to activate simaaad1Just to clarify, you still get the full 6 months of 1p service from the date of activation? Say it is 80 days down the line? - jay.williamsHow do I put a cap on so they can't charge me if I reach the limit?b4dr1Spoke to customer service, I was told it won't automatically charge if your allowance ran out. You would need to buy an additional bundle.
- EnaHiaDoes anyone have experience with this company? Is the network any good?KodaBearNetwork? They use EE so run on the UK’s best network for the last 9.5 years. You don’t need to worry about signal.
Customer experience? They are another brand that is owned by Now Mobile, just like RWG are for example. I only have bad things to say about their customer service. If you have anything more than an absolute basic query they’ll point the finger at someone else to make you go away and ultimately never resolve it. - MegamartA little confused here. Do you top up your SIM to pay for the monthly rolling contract (plus any out-of-contract charges)?
Might be interested in using it just for the first six months @ 1p/month but (without going through the full sign-up process) it seems the minimum you can top-up is £2.50, which would mean throwing away £2.44 at the end of the six months.humorleungNo need to top up, it will get charged to the card attached in your account. - chakalakaboomboomI'm going abroad for 4-5 months and want to keep number active.
Is this suitable? Or any other suggestions pls?
As I understand, let's say for 6 months, it will charge me 1p per month while I'm abroad and I don't need to top up during the duration?
Also couldn't find which countries are included in international minutes?KodaBearAre you wanting to use your phone and number while abroad? Or are you just wanting to keep your number safe while you are away?
Lycamobile have a £5 per year storage plan for numbers to be parked for as long or short as you need if you don't want to make calls with said number. And it is the ONLY Option that currently exists aside from signing up to a proper monthly contract to avoid needing to make a call every 90 days or risk losing your number.
If you do want to use your phone, then I would probably stick with Lyca but get one of their 49p a month SIMs which has free roaming included within the EU. Just make sure you do make a call with it once every 90 days to keep this plan active:
lycamobile.co.uk/ucu…gb/ - loofergrr, just bought the lebara sim for 49p on sunday (delivered today)
I've overpaid by about 4900%RimiLebara is 4900% better And I am serious. All services on Lebara works spot on, decent internet speed, good coverage, WIFI calling and 4G calling are amazing extras and only they worth a bit extra money. Roaming works wherever you go in EU and connects to best networks available in foreign countries. - harminder.sohalDid porting online had error rang yesterday will let you know if that worksRimiWould never risk of porting number to such company. Even if they port in successfully at the end, there will be more problems porting out if you decide. One of my mates lost his number to Talk Home.
- Coheed-CambriaGood deal but there customer service is attrocious I speak from experience (been on with them today for 3 hours)
- wmiddsVOLTE? Visual voicemail?KodaBearNope and nope.
- bozo007The features read as if they have been copied from Lebara or Lyca. And if the SIM can be activated even after 6 months, then that will be perfect for replacing my current 5p Lyca SIM.whok1844As far as I have experienced Lyca Simpson do not activate after 2nor 3 months, I tried a brand new unopened sim last week from February time and it did not activate
- ArKaDeSIt's got to be better than lyca?!
Lyca has poor network coverage.
No calls go through when I'm at homeKodaBearIt uses EE, the UK’s best network. Lyca uses o2, the UK’s worst network. - BokstasWhat a rubbish network. Bought this sim 2 months ago hoping to use in Spain and Portugal, but it simply doesn't work abroad as required. Internet was non existent in Spain and in Portugal it worked at 269kbps, joke! They are using EE name luring people for quality of it(indeed EE is best for many years) but they get just a small bit of EE quality, nothing near when you are directly with EE on contract or PAYG. When calling calls drops many times after 4-7minutes of conversation, so if you are on long call, have to redial many times. Signal is a lot weaker than EE directly, checked with both SIM cards. Looks TalkMobile did not get same frequencies EE has.BigwheelerTalkmobile use Vodafone not EE that’s why you have a signal issue.
- BrozartTerrible company, not even worth the 1p for the headaches you’ll experience!
- gemmac303Nice to see so many honest reviews from genuine customers
uk.trustpilot.com/rev…ncyEngineRomOrdered 2 sims late Tuesday night at 1p each and received them both this morning each with a 1st class stamp on them. Can't fault them so far. - argt7In the TOS it makes out like you will be charged possibly extortionate rates as soon as you go over your allowance...anyone here who has a sim with these guys know if you can put a cap on?b4dr1Assuming you will top-up the SIM. Generally I wouldn't - to avoid these surprises.
- jamkhanCan you pay via PayPal or do they want card details only?bargainhunter1No. Cannot pay for monthly plan with PP.
- p3108It doesn't define which select EU countries the free roaming applies to. Joke.leondasBut yes
- Lokesh_Raoworse site.. doesnt allow to pay .. goes blank after entering card details... any fix pls ?RimiGood start Just go for another provider.
- BluejoeyStay away from EE or any network that uses them. You will be hit with a price increase and their network has a lot of no network areas.
- chris_clarkWho's best to play porting dance with mine and my daughters Lebara Sims are coming to the end of there 6 months deals and we want to keep numbers.KodaBearI always recommend the 49p Lyca SIMs (unfortunately you just missed the cheaper 1p ones) as it means you still have an allowance of calls, texts and data to keep using your phone for the couple of days that your number is on their network for the sake of 49p.
Alternatively you could get your money's worth and stick with it for the month (or longer, if you decide you're happy with their service and price)
I previously used to jump between Lebara and Lyca every 6 months for myself and all my family and never had any trouble in doing so. - viper8Won't recognize my postcode? Tried a few random ones, but none worked.Peter674235Did you try it with and without the space?
- MrFizzyPostcode found OK but couldn't sign up with my normal email address. Kept getting an error saying 'email not supported' when using Chrome and no error but no progress when using Edge. Never had that with anything before. Ended up having to use a GMAIL address.Peter674235My @duck.com disposable email was rejected. Apple disposable was okay.
- jon.megufti4G is capped to 25mbps, 5G remains uncapped. Be careful, it seems they don't have a cap to stop you going over your data allowance (easily doable on 5G). You are then charged an extortionate amount for anything outside of your included data.JUNR786I've set my own cap, they have another thing coming if they think they're trying anything
(edited) - garyho1220Just received this:
By entering into this Agreement, you commit to be a Talk Home customer for at least 12 months.
If you choose to leave early, you may have to pay some of the remaining chargesp3108It's not clear to me whether these were the T&C's prior to today and they amended them and then also sent them out by email but yes, everyone who has ordered one or more of these should contact the network and cancel as otherwise I believe they are automatically activated. - TristanDeCoonhaProbably ideal to use while performing the Lebara dance
- cricket123I am still waiting for my Sim card that was ordered 2 weeks ago. 🙃
- TristanDeCoonhaWho has used this lot for the porting dance? Any problems?LimedyI gave them my PAC code on the 31st of May ,as of now, my number still has not been ported. I've been on the phone and online chat for the last few days, only to be told it's a technical issue. Finally ported . (edited)
- p3108@akil_mayet please amend the description as this isn't a 30-day rolling contract at all but as has been pointed out above, it is a 12-month minimum term as set out in the T&C's.wakaruCan anyone confirm this? I would not like to get into this if I cannot cancel before 12 months.
- TristanDeCoonhaNo, there is no wifi callingYourWellWisherSo what is wifi calling please?
- RimiEven tho they say unlimited mins/txts they limit them to 3000 a month. More than enough for some.
If planing to use abroad, beware that internet not always working. Not worked for me in France at all few weeks ago. 5G speeds are capped from what I see; 96mbps at very best, usually 47mbps.
Waiting for Lebara 1p deals and if not available I am happy to pay them more as stable connectivity anywhere in the UK and abroad.gravy_daveyThat’s interesting. I received a sim last week did some tests and my first speed was 214Mbps but my next 2 were 98.6 & 98.7 so you might be right about capping speeds below the 100Mbps mark - Super7SIM arrived, no bundle attachedwhatever76Same here
- Ralph888Seems like a good price for calls and text and some internet while travelling
- DomHebbGiven this a whirl, even just to use as an emergency phone in the car, 6 months for 6p, can't go too wrong, surely?premierfellaMight be a wait for the SIM to arrive - I'm still waiting for one of the 1p/3 month deals that was "shipped" 25th May (not that I am in any hurry to receive it)
- adam.yacubIt cant find my address
- Alan__SmithNot finding my postcode. Any ideas?usenetzClear cookies / try a different browser.
- p3108I just got sent a link by email to updated terms and conditions here: - talkhome.co.uk/termsGekolukeCan we delay activation then use with no penalty as long as we cancel in 30 days from activation?
- Alan__SmithCancelled by email!
- rich19861112ESIM?shappinbegsNo
- YourWellWisherGreat offer!
Ordered thanks 🙏 - KTFDo they offer wi-fi calling?TristanDeCoonhaIt was in the first comment
