Does anyone else have the issue where their fitbit counts steps whilst driving/cycling?

bit ridiculous but after research people have complained about this for years, it makes the step counter practically useless.

Not that it helps on a bike but if you plug it in while driving I don't believe it records while charging

I gave up on the Fitbit rubbish years ago. One of my friends got her “steps” up to 10,000 during a flight to Germany .

I had one, told it I was like 7ft 5 and had the maximum leg stride and it still read about 100 steps for every 10ft walked. Have a Garmin now.

I did notice bonus steps on my garmin but that was on an exercise bike and my watch hand was on my knee for some of the workout - now just set it to indoor cycle and no longer get any bonus steps, but get that cycling recorded as an activity
