    Your title seems to be overstating it a bit, the article just seems to be dealing with how the voltage limits for overclocking are lower than expected and doesn't mention any issues with running the chip in normal use.

    The thermal sensor getting burnt out by higher voltages is a bit funny. The very thing it's supposed to protect against breaks it.

    But it's only when overclocking? This can't be the first time when overclocking a PC has resulted in physical damage, or at the very least a shortened lifespan.
