It is definitely user changable.

I’m pretty sure it was user changeable, in the same way the Honor 9 Lite can be done. I only used the P Smart for a few days and I don’t have one to hand to check with, but as the Huawei P20 Lite has the same feature I’m 99% sure I changed the setting in the menu. In fact, I think the factory default was on the left as I changed it to be on the right as I prefer it being directly under my right thumb in use. this is the Huawei P20 Lite

Think I found the way. There is another post today about 15% off ebay using code PIGGYBANK. This will bring down the cost to £127.50 Only thing to check will be the genuinity & ratings for seller before proceeding.

If you want to root it you can easily achieve that..

The back button is on the Google side, (i.e. left.) Interesting comment about All in one gestures. I use this on my Tab S2. All of a sudden, hoping it won't be updated to Oreo. Thanks for the heads up.

@Mrswitch Nokia 3310 is now £29 from GiffGaff again, can't see the option for a £5 goodybag though?

I fully intend to sell to CeX, that's why I bought the O2 ones in the first place! £29 for charcoal but only £21 for red, hence the question ;) £11 profit from cashback + a further £29 profit would have made it £40 easy money, plus the GiffGaff goodybag included as a bonus :( . The new Snake isn't as good as the old one (tried on 3310 before selling to CeX) or would have kept one, I used to love Snake 3D too!

Free money = HOT deal! Just saying..... ;)

Well cashback has paid out in the past, twice when I've done it, so i wouldn't worry about that as much.

seems a lot of hassle with the possibility of making a couple of quid. if cash back isn't working then your out of pocket and stuck with a dealer phone

Yes you are right, I was comparing others to my needs, which I shouldn't have.

The iPhone SE has a comparable camera to the iPhone 6s which was higher rated than the Note 4, primarily because it is a newer device. Don't expect it to be twice as good or anything, but it should win in an all condition shoot out.

What's the warranty on this, 1 or 2 years? I've Googled and find news articles stating it is 2, but Apple's site is vague, and states 6?!

it already runs the ios 12 beta, would love an official statement about it but google suggests another major upgrade or 2 after that

Can anyone give their views on: 1. Whether this phone will continue to be supported given it’s quite old now. will it get ios12? 2. Did TCB track fine? Since the cashback is £45 I would want to make sure it tracks

Should be!

Yes, I had no end of problems syncing my P Smart with my fitbit blaze (j the end I was using my 11yr old son's ancient motorola to do my fitbit syncing)...the fix is to buy a Nokia 7 Plus(!) syncs instantly with my fitbit! Truth be told, I'm glad to be shot of the Huawei P Smart ...I had a P9 lite prior...loved it, but after the P Smart, I doubt I'll be rushing back to the Huawei brand

If you have a fitbit check the forums for if the p-smart will sync with it. I know this has been an issue with a number of there phones.

Mad that the P-Smart doesn't support 5G WiFi. It's like Huawei make a really good phone and then think "hmmm, how can we ruin this" Pffffft!

Almost certainly is the issue - turn your bluetooth off & you'll see your wifi run much faster. To be honest, I'd be reticent about buying another Huawei, because it seems that this issue has been prevalent since the P8 range...that's a few years! - hardly suggests a responsive/reactive Huawei design team! I had a P9 lite...couldn't get wifi to connect at our local gym (nobody else had issues connecting) whilst Huaweis on the face of it seem good value, all is not what it seems.

Wonder if my p8 lite has the same issue then, I know when I want to BT music to a speaker from wifi it struggles

Apple iPhone 8 64GB Gold - £599 @ giffgaff

Other colours are the same price but out of stock at the moment.

I remember I had 5 kids by the age of 25. So 47 years is not too old to be a dad. By 47 you should be a grandad now at least I expect to be but you didn't pass the first base. I think you will have regrets but it's your choice at the end of the day you will know whether you want to be a dad or not. Just don't let others make the choice for you, good luck finding a girlfriend and having kids in the future (whatever future you have left)

I'm 47, last girlfriend I had was in 2010. I'm working on being financially free currently, so sadly doesn't fit my plans. Thanks though people tell me I'll have regret, but it's not something I can easily fix. Anyway fixed the Apple issue I was having so all is good for now :)

The item was faulty, refurbished from Music Magpie. My friend went and bought a new one from Argos, no problems works all the time. I set it up for him last night.

Have you read any on screen instructions? I finding that majority people thinks they know how to setup new item without any instructions!! It’s not complicated it’s just English language.

Thing is that most people don't know there's a difference. They don't have it explained to them and they don't get offered different qualities at different prices.

I know what you mean. I imagine most people would be happy enough with a screen that looks like total junk just to save an extra £30.

You're close in your assumptions. The differences in available screen quality are staggering. But consumers are rarely aware of it. They crack their screen, get a quote for replacement at £130 and another for, say, £70. Who knows where the parts come from. Just ask anyone who works in this industry.

It's slightly more expensive for 64GB, but if you want the better condition then that's the better option.

The £10 plan currently has bonus 1GB so 4GB in total not sure how long they will offer bonus though. Still think they are not that competitive but do not want to be stuck in a contract so will stay out as long as signal strong in area. The £15 going to 8GB and £7.50 to 2GB are the only good parts of the new pricing but heat UP for heads up and some will save including me some months.

Well pleased when I got the email from them. Been on the £7.50 a month deal for a while and had been pushing towards using my 1gb. So it's a good deal for me. I also understand lots of other providers have caught up with them with better deals. But not having to take up a rolling contract is the selling point for me. Think they may have missed a trick with the £10 deals. Think 4gb would be a fair deal in comparison to the £7.50 deal.

ID are doing 4gb for £8, rolling contract.

Heat for moving the right direction but with o2 3/2/1p rates GG pay should be matching - it doesn’t have a network to maintain, still Voxi 4GB £10 here with a ton of 8p roaming texts countries worldwide so now o2 you ain’t offered me enough yet. Good GG/Tesco are competing with o2 though, if you want to spend under £20 that’s the way to go!

Disappointed that still no WiFi calling with them. Though heat for these prices on pay and go

You joking !! People on benefits all upgrade to the x

2 years hard use. Reset and closing aps does nothing. Apple have admitted to slowing down older performing phones to save the batteries but I still think it is more to do with encouraging upgrades.

The 6s is as water resistant as the 7, having said that when I splashed my 7 accidentally the volume buttons stopped working for few days. I can’t tell the difference between 6s and 7 display wise. I think the 7 battery possibly drains faster than my 6s but again can’t tell much difference either way. Physically can’t tell difference apart from headphone jack which is a big advantage the 6s has over the 7. As for slow, I use the 6s for everyday stuff like banking emails WhatsApp texts calls and news, fast as lighting so unless maybe u r playing some sort of demanding game maybe

Faster, water resistant, better display, better battery performance (marginal) that I can think of. I have a 6S and it's become noticeably slower so I'm upgrading.

Better start working to afford things in life. That’s how it works. ;)

iPhone 7 plus 256GB for £339? or do you mean just standard iPhone 7?

I already said this

Did they tell you it was a refurbished unit? or did they say the phone had to be repaired then just materialise a different phone? I bought a pristine Iphone 7 Plus on ebay 6 months ago and it still had 1 months warranty which was lucky as the camera stopped working after just 1 week. Took it to an apple store (terrible experience btw) and they told told me it had to go in for repair, but then after waiting hours in the store they came out with a brand new handset for me, no mention of refurbished. As far as I understand it the waterproof IP rating, on the Iphone 7 upwards, makes it rather dubious to open up the phone and reseal it and so they are much more likely to give you a factory made unit and sell off the damaged handsets to 3rd party sellers to sell as refurbished.

Also check out CEX, oddly their Iphone conditions seem to be rather good at the moment, compared to some shocking samsungs I received recently. Ordered a Grade B 128gb/256gb Iphone 7 for my better half, both came and were absolutely immaculate in like new condition, albeit the 256gb was on about 250-300 cycles. However I saw an opportunity with the 128gb as for some reason it wasn't charging, took it to my local Apple store as still under warranty and they switched it for a 'refurbished' unit which as far as I can see is brand new with no box/accessories.

Got a 128gb about a week ago in good condition for my wife. Not a scratch/dent on it. Great battery life. Don't be put off, as mention try it if your not happy send it back!!!

I'm using Tesco Calling app and it is cheaper than this. The only downside is you either need good WiFi, good 4g or use your minutes to make a connection. Disclaimer: I was working for Tesco but do not at the moment.

To be honest Voxi/Voda do 1.5p to band 1 (China, Guam, USA, India, Canada and more mobiles & landlines) and you can buy 100m for £3 to 100 other countries along with shedloads of data and unlimited mins with no manual topping up every month, just login and change plan or top up with card or buy £3 100 international. GG also don’t make it easy to see what countries are 1p you need to search each one. GG if you need a o2 signal/less data speed. A £3 International Minutes Extra can be purchased on top of any of the VOXI Plans and includes a number of international minutes. Please find the list of included destinations here. Charges for calling an international number from the UK, or from our Europe Zone^

Direct quote “ Welcome to our new pre-owned phones Marketplace. Unlocked, fully tested, and data cleansed No quibble returns and a six month warranty”

Maybe for those wanting a small phone with iOS it is worth considering, but £189 for a used phone with a 4" 640 x 1136 pixels screen, a 1642 mAh battery and 2GB RAM seems a lot of money to me.

They are completely unlocked. I ordered a iPhone 7 about a month ago & no problems so far! Only comes with a USB cable though, no other accessories or box.

Thanks for posting. Is the phone unlocked in sense you can use on any existing network or is it tied in to giffgaff? I couldn’t see on website

Yes, huge improvement over the 5s. The SE has all the same internals as the 6s including the camera. Brilliant little phone. Very underrated.

I have the 5S, is it worth paying for this, I just love the phone due to its size, just tired now of massive heavy phones. Is the camera/battery any better

£20 for 9 GB of slow speed! Avoid.

I second that, moved parents and grandparents from Gaff Gaff to the £4 deal Plusnet offered last October and haven't looked back. Yes it's a 30 day contract but the difference in allowances and data speeds are night and day. Plusnet use EE network, rock solid 4G (where we live). I moved myself after O2 refused to let me have 4G data on my legacy SIM only deal but have since moved again to BT mobile (again on EE network) for more data per month. Giff Gaff need to Giff off

iD mobile is a cheap alternative also, which offers Wifi calling for anyone that struggles

GiffGaff was over with years ago when their data speeds became so slow that they became not fit for purpose, and their prices aren't even competitive any more. PlusNet is where it's at these days for cheapskates like me. The whole family have moved from GiffGaff to PlusNet, still paying £5 a month and getting fantastic data speeds with more texts ant minutes than we could ever use.

When their Managing Director tells consumers when questioned over poor speeds that they are helping o2 generate millions in profits to allow them to improve their network and still won’t do anything about the speeds people are getting you know they are only there for one thing. To milk the customer as much as they can get. GG customer are so loyal it’s unbelievable, even when told that by the M.D. they were still praising them only a few of us questioned why we would stay if that’s the case. I would admit before that we didn’t know how slow they were, everyone we knew was on GG. One day someone at work told me they were staying with Virgin and at the time they were getting 3G only and I said you can get 4g and cheaper prices with GG. We did a speed check and I got 2Mb the 3G got 16. From that day we left GG get up to 40 download speeds now and have tried many of the companies. We went back to GG for a month and speeds were the same.
