Yup. Been showing it for over a year. Not in HD, but free.

Sorry, no idea. I’ve played safe with an Apple TV box and various iOS devices. I have heard on various threads that some newer high end TVs and some new streamers (Fire, Roku, etc) can play iTunes content, but someone more knowledgeable would have to confirm.

Any work around to view itunes stuff on a droid tablet? I grabbed trek there when found out had firestick app so assumed you could watch on droid via web access. seems I was mistaken

Remastered version?

MBeeching

In stunning 544x576 (Interlaced / MPEG2) with 'horrifying' bitrates and adverts. I suppose it's an alternative but not even vaguely comparable.

After a patchy start, this is one of the best SF series ever made. "Make It So"

Oh yeah I just meant if you had Netflix and fancied watching it right now. I'm working through the series currently.

Strong female character...

I have enjoyed all of them at various times but back then DS9 was the least popular of the three. I remember it being quite dark, with a lot of bitter and jaded characters. With Next gen' and Voyager the characters would go through personal tribulations but they wouldn't stay in that angst state. They always felt more hopeful whilst DS9 seemed dystopian in many ways, which isn't a bad thing but isn't traditionally what Star Trek has been about. It's almost as if DS9 was the alternate reality where people don't get past their grievances, and begrudgingly co-exist which is more realistic but not really escapism. DS9 did have some classic episodes though, Trials and Tribble-ations is one of the best ever Star Trek episodes IMO, and I think the series is obviously miles better than the modern stuff, although I've noticed a lot of people who enjoy Discovery etc. also like DS9, probably for the reasons people are stating above.

I’m ripping mine to disk so I always have them even if the original discs fail. Life’s too short to rely on internet streaming services to alway keep what you want available in the highest quality.

WhoDecidedThat

Not sure, but possibly just a matter of time. (y) The reason many have stopped buying physical media is that they have a whole library of tapes, then DVD came out, then double capacity DVD, then BluRay then 4K, not to mention they ones in between like 3D. Other than your absolute favourites....and this might be one....I just can't be bothered anymore. And that's aside from the getting up and switching the disc in and out. Also many DVDs and BluRays still have that annoying information and/or adverts at the start you can't skip. Life's too short to faff around.

Common sense...and a mortgage. I'd love to buy everything on disk, but unfortunately I'd have nowhere to store them, so settling for digital is a decent compromise (lol)

Grogu

To be fair they're not being high & mighty, they're putting you straight on your assertion there is only a 2% difference digital v media. That is incorrect & a misleading statement. Probably research your facts first & you won't get pulled up on them

Grogu

Don't give up the day job

philofanny

So as the title says it is "Beyond 4K" does this mean it's 8 k?

Grogu

I'm a collector, proper home cinema set up and I agree media best and that is also for ATMOS will be less compressed on disc, but for non film buffs I really think they won't notice difference is marginal.
