We have a wired 3 camera Hikvision CCTV system, always been fine but started having problems where 1 camera (the same 1)will go off randomly with just a black screen. Other times the picture goes really dark. This happened on Saturday, yesterday I unplugged the camera and tried it in different ports but lost the picture altogether. Checked it today and it's back working as normal. We have tried swapping power from other cameras. Can a dodgy connection cause these faults?

sorted bywater in a connection would be my first guess, then check voltage at the cam.
If they look OK, swap 2 cams - see if the problem moves.
