Fire pit

Looking for a decent firepit that can be left out, won't rust, wine stain the limestone patio and looks nice.

I made a washing machine one that is fine but doesn't look as nice, burns wood faster and doesn't seem to reflect the heat back as well

The heat distribution for solo stove will be more or less the same as your washing machine drum (going up). To get warmer at lower (leg) levels. You might want to consider investing in a heat deflector

From camping experience with a Solo stove this comment is correct. However, once its got going the tub still radiates a decent amount of heat. The smoke elimination and efficient burn is its trump card. Love the deflector accessory, thaanks for that.

Another firepit question. Thoughts on a canopy or cantilever umbrella above, to help create a cozy feel.

My thoughts are the heat going up won't be enough to damage it, the smoke will still escape, but it may make it feel more cozy and maybe deaden some late night noise for the neighbours???
