Keeping warm around the house ? Best Hoodie blanket or your recommendations?

Get yourself a push up board, when you feel cold knock a few press ups, win win

Can't you just put on more clothes? Or use a normal blanket/throw? If trying to save money I'd not be splashing out on a wearable blanket tbh!

I have a new baby so no choice here, heating to 21c all day.

A cheap housecoat from primark will keep you warm why do you need a hoodie thing for £50 if your trying to save money ?
seems a waste of money to me along with the heated underbed blanket, get a high tog quilt and your body keeps itself warm (edited)

Before the kid my stat was only set to 16c anyway!

I have been wearing thermal trousers around the house for the last few years and I reckon it has saved me quite a bit on my heating costs

So the clothes you currently own and wear have suddenly become ineffective at keeping you warm and uncomfortable whilst you move around the house?

i wear a padded jacket at home.
I bought it from primark for £18 last year.

I had a Dreamland electric blanket which was really good for use when sitting down on the sofa. I was quite surprised at how hot it was. Only issue is mine broke after about 5 days for some unknown reason, but it was good while it lasted lol.

As already mentioned padded/puffer jackets are actually incredibly warm and depending on the type, can be quite easy to move around in. I used one last winter and it's surprisingly comfy, and can be found very cheap as they're in fashion at the moment.

Thick socks like Heat Holders are great but can be expensive. I always wear thicker socks when I can and find that my feet get cold easier than the rest of my body. (edited)

Costco the comfy £29.89 is good. I have an Oodie and it really does make a difference.

I brought one for the wife and she likes it and is comfortable. I had a cheap one from Amazon and it keeps me warm but can tell the quality isn't as good

Have a look at heated vests which run off a power bank. The fleece ones are probably better for loungewear. I got one last year for about six quid (discounted) and it certainly keeps me warm when I'm pottering about, but it has a rubberised outer layer and it's not all that comfortable for lounging in.

15-16 degrees is shorts and t-shirt for me.

Wear more than one layer. So two t-shirts then a thick jumper on top. Wear socks and slippers.

Move around a lot as sitting still makes you feel cold. Drink lots of hot drinks and eat hot food.

Use a warm throw when you are sitting on the sofa.

I find sitting on your hands keep them warm. Also if you have a partner, cuddle up, and if you haven't got a partner, maybe now is the right time to find one?

You can get good quality borg/fleece lined hoodies from places like Mountain Warehouse for under £20. My partner got one from Costco for under £10 last week and it's so cosy! Buy one that's too big for you and then it'll keep your hands warm too

Definitely layer up, thin long sleeved top or thermal under a borg lined hoodie and you'll be set! Oh, and make sure you keep your feet warm, I find that if my feet are even a bit cold then the rest of my body is too. Heat Holder socks are amazing!

Muscle is a better insulator that fat as it's more dense. It's also constantly active so generates it's own heat regardless of whether you're moving or sitting still.

Have them on got about 6 pairs

I just wear a hoodie with the hood up.
The heat rises up into the hood, and warms me up

Get a electric blanket or electric throw peanuts to use, cheap to buy of Facebook too

Until the mrs moved in my bedroom window only closed if it was below 0! I love the outdoors, feel stuffy inside.

Fleece lined hoodie

There's a few fleecy hoodies mentioned in this local paper article (though, these stories are recycled depending on where you live in the UK, so I wouldn't worry about the location) about Primark specifically (from October 2022). I've got the Keith Haring one on the right, it's really thick fleece and there's teddy lining in the hood!

Mine was maybe a bit pricey for Primark at £19 but you may be able to get it from ebay. I got the L/XL (as I'm currently hovering around a size 14, but losing it, slowly) but I could've got a size down as it's humungous! (edited)
