I bought a pair of QCY T17 on the recommendation of and am very happy with my purchase 18 months later.
I want to upgrade to something that features Ambient Sound (to save myself from the wrath of the wife).
Any recommendations please?
I don't listen to music. Podcasts and audiobooks only.
I love the small form factor of the QCY T17, the smaller the better please.
No stem, I would like them in-ear.
Ambient sound is essential.

If you like QCY, they have a couple of new products - HT05 Melobuds and HT07 Arcbuds. HT05 have stems, but sound great. HT07 are similarly shaped to the T17, although a bit chunkier. Both have fifteen strength levels for ANC and 5 for ambient mode.
Soundpeats Capsule3 Pro have good, natural sounding ambient mode although again they have stems. I am not so keen on Soundpeats non-stem buds because they are a little too chunky for my liking, although Mini Pro HS is probably their closest to that form factor.
If you want no stem, Soundcore A3i is probably the best, non-chunky option. They're often on sale, available on Amazon and have good app support.
Pretty much all of them are reviewed on my YouTube page (although I haven't got round to the A3i yet!)
