Hitachi 55 Inch 55HK25T74U Smart 4K LED TV - £339.99 @ Argos£339.99Argos Deals
I bought one two years ago too, the sound is awful. It’s very tinny particularly with higher pitch noises. I appreciate it’s not the same model (mine is a Vestel).
I went for 50" Philips Ambilight...I always wanted Ambilight tv (cheeky)
I've not got this model, but have got the 58" HK6100U from the same year/range. It's been an excellent performer for the price (£299). Check out here for more comments: https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/hitachi-58-inch-smart-4k-uhd-led-tv-with-hdr-29999-delivered-at-argos-3458985
You have a point. Out of curiosity, does anyone here own this particular model? And if so, did you experience the same problems that I did? After my experience. I'll never buy another product from Hitachi ever again.
What did u get in the end? In the same but need a tv with 3.5 jack as well

I aslo got tge Hitachi 58" on 299 deal. That Tv its a banger.I dont think youll find it on that price again
Being made by Vestel isn't nessecarily a bad thing. They offer decent TV's at cheap prices. Like all brands there can be both good and bad models (look at Samsung's TU7000 for an example of a bad TV by a big name). I can't comment on this particular model, as I haven't used it. There have been some excellent Vestel made TV's recently though. Have a look at the 58" Hitachi for £299 deal (now sadly ended) to see how good they can be - I bought one for a bedroom and it's been brilliant for the price. £249 is a pretty standard price for a budget 43" 4K set though. £229 and it's a deal.
Surprised this is 200 degrees 😳 Much better 43 inch TVs (Hisense 43B7500 and LG UM7400) were previously £260ish
BAD ... .. its about the same as Goodmans, Bush etc .. all the budget crap .. Better to save a little and get a better Brand
Sorted now btw, needed a new chip but now it's fine. Hassle to set it all up again but at least it turns on. It's doing the thing it did before where it isn't storing my picture settings properly yet, so I have to keep changing it to turn off MEMC etc. until it settles down. Inspire the next, indeed!
Repair guy is coming tomorrow with a replacement part (new chip I presume) so hopefully that'll be the end of my troubles! I don't regret getting this one for the price... but hopefully one day can get a big Samsung instead with better blacks and decent refresh for gaming :)
Did you get it sorted ? Kind of wish i paid s bit more for a better quality tv now lol
oh man I just got the USB stick today and it started upgrading the software but now it's stuck in a bootloop and endless black with a constantly flashing red light ;( thanks Argos! Oh well, it's under warranty (until tomorrow!) and I've still got the old TV...
There are flashes on HLG iPlayer content on all Vestel TV's that use the MB230 motherboard (most 4K Hitachi, Toshiba, Medion TV's from last year). The flashes appear to happen when it switches bitrates during playback. Report it to BBC and they should look into it. The Fire Stick used to have the same issues, but they resolved that by disabling 4K/HDR altogether...
Cant really pick a fault here. Good spec, screen size and price. I'd have this but my £299 50" Bush LED 1080p is still going strong in year 6....
A link to confirm my post? It's just my own knowledge, not taken from any particular place. Vestel manufacture TV's for the following brands: Toshiba (EU brand owned by Vestel, their flagship TV's including OLED's). Hitachi (Argos Home Brand) Bush (Argos Home Brand) ElectriQ (Appliances Direct Home Brand, some ElectriQ are non-Vestel) Techwood (AO.com Home Brand) JVC (Curry's Home Brand, also sold @ Amazon for the Fire TV range) Panasonic (all sub-4K, 500 series 4K and some 600 series 4K) Polaroid (ASDA home brand) Medion (Aldi home brand) Linsar (also use other manufactuers depending on the model) There are others too, but the above brands are the most common at the moment.
Do you have a link or something for the information please?
Sony, Samsung, LG, Hisense, TCL, and Philips (TP Vision), all manufacture their own TV's and panels, or source panels from other manufacturers such as AU Optronics. None of them use Vestel panels or have TV's manufactured by Vestel (Philips did pre 2017).

Hitachi 58 Inch Smart 4K UHD LED TV with HDR (2020 model) - £360.99 delivered at Argos/ebay with code£360.99eBay Deals
Hi, I'm thinking of buying this for use with my Xbox one, will it be ok, or do you think it'll just look terrible? I play quite fast paced games
Actually its not a bad Panel . Direct lit not Edge lit, with good dimming, Superb if fed a good source but of course at the price processing for fancy modes is limited Proper Dolby Vision HDR as well as HLG and HDR10
Yep . it was £299 at Appliances Direct last week, not a bad TV for the price good smart features and a decent panel for the price. only downside is the motiion proccesing is a bit naff, so best having it in Game Mode to remove all the motion artifacts from processing
Indeed, both will be supermarket trash
And pretty much the same TV can be had for £320 under the ElectriQ brand name from here : https://www.appliancesdirect.co.uk/p/e58uhdhdrsq/electriq-e58uhdhdrsq-55-inch-led-tv?wgu=272125_116019_1581771476047_2d9ffbc893&wgexpiry=1589547476&utm_source=digidip%20GmbH&utm_medium=webgains&refsource=webgains

And it’s crap it won’t connect to the internet during the day which is what I bought it for and as I didn’t notice until I unpacked it im stuck with it!!!!!!!
I ordered this tv byt realised after i set it up i actually recieved 55hk6100u and argos saying because i set it up.its not resealable so i asked for a price difference which they couldnt gove to me? This happen to anyone else
A lot more. HDR only makes a difference in the top of the range sets.
It might support HDR, which a lot do nowadays. But HDR support is only part of the story. The panel itself needs to be able to make use of it otherwise you really won't benefit much, if at all. Spend more if you really want to experience HDR.
This really have HDR though? I can see it on the description, but know Argos made mistakes like that before
