O2 priority - caffè nero "out of stock"

Posted 27th Jan 2022
Sorry if it's the wrong place - didn't know where else to post this.

I was wondering if anyone else is getting "out of stock" vouchers long before closing time.

Just been to a caffè nero to use the O2 priority voucher for the first time in months and didn't check the app beforehand. When I got there I couldn't use the voucher as it was out of stock.

Must've been a glitch earlier - I literally just generated a code (not a screenshot) and used it at 17.15.

There's only a finite number of vouchers and I think it's valid Mon > Thurs?

Only spotted yesterday the cinema is now weekly, rather than once a month. Which, presumably, was the reason they'd all sold out when I looked last night.

Have to say, O2 Priority is top notch and cancels out my £8 a month sim only easily. (edited)

Yes, I was on my way. I should've screen-shotted it

That's the thing they don't say there's a limited number of vouchers but to turn up Mon-Thurs up to 25 minutes before using it. So we can't even save the voucher.

Glad you have had a better experience with O2 than I have. They've been doing my head for over 2 years and priority is the only thing that's made me stay.

I think they're all much of a muchness providing you don't have need to contact Customer Service. On that note, I think O2's is the best and seemingly the reason they used to be more expensive, but it shouldn't be a factor in choosing a network.

Had the £1 a month Three sim deal last year, signal dipped in and out but given all the lockdowns, wasn't that bothered. Wouldn't go near Vodafone again unless I was 100% sure I'd never need to speak to their CS agents again.

With more people headed into offices, and with the relatively nice weather today, I guess the vouchers finished quickly.

I used mine late this morning ok but hadn't realised there was a finite number available. I'll use it earlier in the week in that case.

Sorry you missed out but thanks for the info. ☕

I was with Three for years and the signal was so poor. Dealing with customer service has probably caused me premature ageing. Terrible customer service but at least you can contact someone... as useless as they are.

O2's customer service is pretty much inexistent. I've had many issues with the phone line and supplementary services and they've been beyond unhelpful... An absolute waste of time. The signal is a lot better than Three - I would never consider going back to Three - and I've enjoyed the free Disney+ trial with Priority. I must have missed the £1 deal you mentioned.

I had EE broadband not mobile and their customer service was fantastic. Don't know if it's the same with the mobile phone side of the company.

Vodafone and Virgin are companies I'm steering clear tbh.

That's probably it. I just wish they'd say we have a limited number of vouchers so we know.

Next time I'll try on a Wednesday. I don't have a Caffè Nero nearby so it needs to be a special trip. (edited)

Glad that it worked! It just seemed odd that vouchers would run out by 3pm. O2 said it's subject to availability.

It may have been a glitch then. I've just checked the app again and it's now working.

That's what I got earlier. Tried to generate a code for an hour.
