British Museum - are they fussed on booking time

I've booked tickets to go to the British museum for 2.30pm but if we arrive earlier like 1.30pm. are they fussy about letting people in?

I have never booked as its free anyway so just walk in regardless of what time it is

yeah, i went to the science museum and the natural history museum last year and i didn't book tickets.

There is usually a queue to get in, although i think they fast track tickets

You book, but offer walk in tickets too. Tbh I would try my luck and say you have a ticket if you don’t, they rarely checked anyone last week.
