Quickly Sorting Photos in Windows?

Hi, I have over 7000 photos in a folder on windows. I'm wanting to sort them all into folders in date order, so month by month. Is there a quicker way to do this rather than having to drag and drop and working out by the file info what date it is?

You could make a batch file if you did not want to download software.

Sounds like you need to read up or do a course in how to use windows and manage your files and folders. This is a very basic concept and user skill, like double click, copy and paste, drag and drop.

Easiest way is just use windows file explorer , find the folder and files and use sort by date option. I presume it's windows 10 as you've not specified. Have a look at this for more detailed, step by step instructions...

I know how to do that but then I have to drag and drop batches of files in folders. I wondered if there was a quicker way.

Give into cloud storage. Google photos is amazing. Sorts everything automatically. Search is king, search for a cat, a handbag, year, day, colour etc, it'll find it

There is no cloud, just someone else's computer
