I used to love the lego technic sets but the sets have got ridiculously expensive now.

Thanks for posting. We have added your thread to the Highlights pages (y)

Well, if you're angry now, wait until you pay the money, they build it, and 2 weeks later, half of the pieces are gone never to be found...

Still can't justify the bs £15 joining fee. I got this for £195 elsewhere so still saved £5

Yep it's called Lego Technic and this is a fine example of one! (confused) (shock) (y)

Nope...I drive an is300h for work and asked the dealer in Sheffield if they could quote me on an NX suv for her indoors, the guy said it was pointless ...they don't mass produce cars ordinarily like a lot of brands and so don't need the big numbers for their sales figures. Lexus have their own niche customer market, who see through the German marques and how everybody needs a merc/bmw/audi etc. Thats a different debate though and we have both BMW/Lexus in the household ....we are using the lexus for a long run next week vs the 4 series -for comfort, fuel economy. Says it all really !!

I don’t like leaving negative feedback however the experience was negative I guess. If the seller is going to use eBay this way and sell stuff on there that they don’t have, then i myself would have appreciated reading feedback that mentions this. I could then have checked if the despatch time (within 2 days) and delivery (within 3 days) was true or false with the seller before this rigmarole :) I suggest you cancel your order and place it with Swedish Car Accessories above who will UPS it and you will have it in your hands within 3 days of ordering

jonnybravo867

Same problem here! Still waiting on mine - contacted the seller and he said he wasn't expecting them to arrive with him until the 17th and he would send them out once he's got them. Not very impressed at all! No mention in the original listing that he didn't actually have any of the items in stock and then it's up to me to chase the order only to find out that they'll be arrive 2 weeks after the original estimate.

CharlieFoxtrotCharlie

Thx, I'll chase an update to see where mine is.

I suppose yours was a diesel variant? Diesels have a much better mpg, while petrols don't, at least not on the Volvos. With that being said, if you live in London, with an average commute of less than 5 miles and an average speed of less than 15, you'd struggle with a diesel.

also bear in mind this is what the car reports so may be 5% out

I have heard this also, personal experience over 2 years, it doesn't work very well in a fast car

ChrisAbbott

I absolutely love mine, coming from a bmw this is a superb motor...a totally different machine to earlier generations of a Volvo.

Welsh35

I have one - it's a beautiful thing. Absolutely love it. And to the guy who talked about the interior, here's what Clarkson had to say about it... "Then you step inside and, frankly, you’re going to get straight back out again and sign on the dotted line. Because this side of a Rolls-Royce Phantom you will find no finer car interior... "

IndyS

Beemers are widely considered to have industry leading 'auto' boxes, manuals on the other hand I found to be notchy but still precise and controlled enough for daily driving. Mind you, these were in lower powered versions.

viliu_me

I always liked volvo, amazing cars, but in the last years Geely started to stick their nose to much in volvo and initial Geely was the owner and Volvo had the freedom to do what they done best, now they want to take complete control over it. peter1969uk

Theirs a few things that make this a bad deal. First the OTR price £35,000. This has been posted a few time on this site for £26,000 https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/volvo-s90-saloon-20-t4-momentum-plus-4dr-geartronic-mpw-25219-at-new-car-discount-3390250. Second, the rental period of 4 years for £13,295,52. This car again is on the Site already with a 2 year lease for £7,314. So it would be better to hire 2 years, as this will work out cheaper. Besides the issue of breaking down outside the manufacture warranty period. You Also have extra costs's such as Extra servicing or tyre replacement. Also after 2 years you would be able to lease another one for 2 years.. Obviously this is just my view of the deal.

Gary_Holder

All the same as the deal above. 8k I think it’s 325 inc Apple car play and a service. But the service plan is for three services so you pay for an unused one if you go for a two year deal.

This is better a new car deal rather than all these lease/pcp deals. Bloody nightmare things. No flexibility on mileage without paying extra and they always go over the car with a toothcomb. V90 deal a bit cheaper than this would be good. That said the petrol seems to have terrible mpg. Could be why they are struggling to shift.

Pointlessusername

johnnyd57uk

Yep your right but hopefully there might be a few bargains around to tempt the cash strapped after this nightmare. Ive been saving my pennies so here's hoping.

Also, looks like Volvo have stopped selling pure petrol/diesel vehicles.. Suspect theyve got some old stock to shift!

Hi, I guess it does not come with reverse camera? Where did you get the tinted rear window bit? As I cannot see anything from the specs?

ChrisAbbott

The only colours left were bright silver or white, so I took the silver. Wouldn’t have been my first choice but once I saw one I really liked it especially with the black coloured trim. It’s a bargain and the dealer here said exactly the same, said they were doing it to move stock and get the S60 out on the roads. He said it was nearly half the price... How are you finding the performance and enjoying driving it?

R_Owen

you're going to love it! the dealer at my place did a double take at the contract he thought it was wildly cheap! I nearly bought this last year and it was £2000 initial rental and £340 a month... so glad i waited!! what colour did you go for?

MG's design studio has closed at Longbridge. It's basically a car showroom now. Everything is being demolished bar the roundhouse and former MG Rover headquarters. Very sad.

JezB

The V90 is made in Sweden though, mine was ordered 6 months in advance, but there was a cockup and it turned up from Sweden a couple of weeks later and the dealer had to sell it and reorder. The Chinese ones take ages to turn up.

muradxs

Those pictured seats look like R Design and Inscription seats - not Momentum ones. All variants have leather but the upper 2 have better leather ones. I made this mistake last month when I took a XC60 for a test drive for a couple of days. It was a R Design. I assumed my Editions (Basically a Momentum with a few extra bits added on) seats would be the same as the literature said "leather seats". When I took delivery (6th March - what a waste of a 20 plate as it's just done 400 miles in total so far all pre lock down) I realised my error. The Editions/Momentums leather seats are fine, but just not as comfy as the R Design leather seats - I particularly wanted the extending/retracting under thigh support which the Momentum/Editions seats don't have. All the above is for a XC60 but fairly sure it applies to all the Volvo models. Maybe.

It was good enough for me at the time and this was 2018, guess the deals the main dealers are offering are the ones that seem 'poor' - forgot to add this is with winter pack inc in the price; most other deals i've had a look at this costs extra these days if offered. <edit> Just had a play around on vehiclesavers and it appears my local volvo dealer is taking the piss in their offers has i can get a new V60 with the T4 engine at just over 247 pm with 8k per year over 3 years with deposit of just over 2.2k, have you ever played a dealer off with a online offer ? might be what i have to do come time to hand this back.

r79

Your deal doesn't look especially good. It makes around 11.5k over 3 years so about 7.5k for 2 years. Now you can easily have same car for below 7k for 2 year lease.

Aph3x

My AVG is around 30 for urban and 40-45 on motorways; this is for a 2018 MY V60 T4 SE NAV, its really the only sticking point i have with the car, it adds upto about an extra £30 in fuel costs each month. Must say current offers seem very poor, mine was 3yrs, 8k per year 235 pm with deposit of 3k, if the trend carries on am going back to 2nd hand.

Captainflack

Good spot. If it helps, metallic paint is included. I'll have to get a new calculator. :)

You're arguing points no one raised. Never said there weren't also bad cyclists. You've seen a keyword of your favourite pet peeve and decided to copy-paste in your anti-cycling diatribe.

Facts are not rants and it's got everything to do with what you said because you clearly have a Haro Freestyler agenda. You might not like to hear it but chemically charged psycho cyclists have now officially achieved killer status and thus all pedal pushers everywhere, including middle aged fatties in not so flattering lycra, should be insured so may I suggest you swallow less of the drug cheat sympathetic Guardian propaganda and neck a few more reality pills. Cyclists should pay insurance and should be punished accordingly for their actions too, safe to say we all know had Charlie Alliston been driving a car rather than riding a push bike when he mowed down that poor woman he'd have got far longer inside than the feeble year and a half he did. Car drivers may well behave in an over entitled manner because of the protection a solid metal cage around them offers but it seems to me there's also a hell of a lot of cyclists out there who will argue the vulnerability of being on sat a tiny frame on two rizla thin wheels entitles them to behave however recklessly they see fit too.

John.Mason

Simply demonstrating your ignorance

Digital_plumber

Spent the other weekend in a XC60 B4 inscription and this weekend just gone in a V90 D4. The V90 is a better drive but better views from the XC60. The seats in both are amazing, better than most home sofas I’d say. Still not a fan of the touch screen (iDrive (imho) is more intuitive and does not need your eyes off the road. pilot assist is ok on the autobahn/motorway but is a mess around town and on country roads. The adaptive cruise control is a lot more trustworthy for under £27k I’d say a V90 is a great deal if you’re looking to buy not lease, for whatever reason.

neil.solender

They've also 24%off the xc90 too! I was looking at getting a 4 year old one but they're still 30k, 10k more and it's brand new. I'm now very confused the new deal seems better value.

This is a petrol estate and not a massive heavy 4x4.

Chouman

I have the XC90 D5 (very end of them before the B5) which I bought new this summer. I'd say while the torque is fantastic, the cost of fuelling is the real killer. I'm getting around 33mpg from mine and I cover mainly motorway driving. Petrols are closely comparable for mpg, but the initial cost much lower. It's also quite noisy, especially at start up in the cold up here in Scotland. Definitely the most complete car I've ever owned and better than anything else in it's class when I was looking, but if I didn't get my fuel refunded I would steer well clear from the diesel model.

ZapGod

You are quite correct, I missed it was a very large estate for some reason. Good catch :)

ZapGod

Actually I think you are correct. I missed that its an estate car so comparison is quite unfair.

deleted25786

Reported the nonsense comments about smaller electric cars and thankfully they have been removed. This is a great price for a top trim level car that can tow a boathouse, I’d be tempted by the D5/B5 Diesel engines and yes, these cars are massive.

Okay great it’s from the Audi dealership i pay nothing upfront it’s £547.50 per month for the next 4 years I place my order on Saturday now waiting not going to let them deliver it because it’s round the corner from my house literally just walk it lol but got a full tank too which is normal when buying a new car Thanks for your help

Dwh8611

It’s a PCP so he would pay £24750 over the 4 years then either handback or pay another £18k to keep the car. Not amazing deal unless you like to keep cars for a long time (out of warranty) when he could just Pch lease for 3 yrs (60k miles) for £17.5k then return and get a new one? https://www.purevehicleleasing.co.uk/cars/manufacturers/audi/a3-sportback/50-s3-tfsi-quattro-black-edition-5dr-s-tronic

2003bluecat

I'd assumed the OP meant it was £6750 each year for 4 years. Otherwise it'd work out at £24,750 for a £42k car which seems unlikely.

B_Marvel

At that price you will 100% beat the depreciated over 4 years which is ultimately the goal of a lease. Assuming the offer is from a decent company that will likely actually deliver the car then it's a good deal.
