Ex display Sony Bravia OLED 55" KD55A8 available for £420.

Would this be a good deal for a TV that had a retail price of £1799?

Im guessing the tv would have been on 7 days a week on demo mode for near 2/3 years by now?

Any advice? buy? or stay clear?

Seems like a good price to me. I’ve bought several TVs in recent years and they have never gone wrong. Is there a warranty? Could always buy and extended warranty from a third party insurer and factor that into the price.

If it comes with a 5 or 6 year warranty go for it, if not stay well clear (edited)

3 years 24/7 is like 10 years of use for a regular TV. What was being shown on it.. It probably has minimal warranty.
Your choice but I would avoid.

I have this TV and managed to get it for £1050 around 2.5 years ago. Good tv and worth £400, just make sure no burn in on the oled.
