I have a 1.0 civic brought last week average miles per gallon 43.6 around town performance is really good compared to my fn2 2.2l I’m a driver by trade so from me it’s worth every penny and comfort is great too

And yet behold what is possible..... brap brap vroom! (y)

:( I sold mine for about £3,000 and the only thing wrong with it then was some weak hydraulic structs for the boot opening.

The original CRX would be worth quite a few pretty pennies in today's market :)

How do you think. 1st lorry does 45 another 46 and so on. They are constantly in race overtaking each other uphill. Your Jazz is doing 50 ...downhill.

Sammylove2016

I can imagine you skipping the red lights like you skip punctuation in your prose.

wizz1234

Over 3k for a years motoring in a jazz I have just bought a whole jazz for a third of that yes 1k and that’s not for a old heap ok it’s old 2006 but only 74k on the clock and I’ve just done a a 80 mile trip cruise at 80 brilliant little car and much nicer than the micra it replaces however micra more fun to drive around town and the lanes but Honda quality is far suprier

Spitroast2006

The original post also clearly stated the "M25", most of which is 5 lanes. Besides, officially there is no 'middle lane', only additional right hand lanes for overtaking so it's clear the poster was simply highlighting that he often sees these sorts of cars in the wrong lane... to which I have to agree. You sound like you could well be one of those illegal and frustrating drivers yourself with your road knowledge. Perhaps you should obtain some driving experience and knowledge of UK roads before commenting and making yourself sound silly.

sayekm

You could pickup a banger XR3i for £500 But insurance for a 18 year old was £2000. A Escort RS turbo was few £k but most company would not insure under 25 year old. This led to most XR3i driven on road without insurance as there was no police ANPR to detect them. The Cosworth were not cheap and insurance was sky high as most got stolen.

Cheap and cheerful hot

GAVINLEWISHUKD

Well that all fine buying a 10+ year old car. But then how it has been looked after makes a massive difference when buying an older cheap car. If I want a 3-5 year old car the data points are not so useful.

rumble

That would be more true if not for the fact that Warranty Direct takes average age of vehicle and mileage into account when calculating reliability. No way of calculating reliability is going to be perfect, but theirs is the best going right now.

GAVINLEWISHUKD

Yes I was jesting. Really good cars if not a little boring. If it wasn't for the weak piston rings these would run forever.

GAVINLEWISHUKD

Well apart from the Cee'd (still seems odd typing that!) all of what people class a "modern" Kia's will only just have started to come out of warranty.

Noxia

Tbh I don't even drive enough to really warrant a car like that. I'm not really a massive petrol head lol. If I see a 'cheap' lease on a Golf R (<230 pm) I may bite but I may potentially have a company car if I change role so in that case I'll have a 'throwaway' car for a bit and save the dosh.

jimbo001

Ahh ok, fair enough. Yeah I was looking at a few on YouTube lol. What are you considering next, C63 Coupe/convertible? Hehe

Noxia

It was inevitable as the R came out so late in the 9th gen cycle. I don't regret it though. There are already quite a few exhaust out and a fair few have opted for dual pipes instead of 3. The ride is pretty firm but not back breaking like the FN2 was. The FK8 has the comfort mode thing so will be way better on our shoddy roads. Josh has a point too, I think the prices will stabilise at a certain point but I'm not fussed as mine is PCP and I'm bored of it now so no intention of keeping it at the end

josh971

I read something once which suggested that the FK2 will hold a high minimum value as it's the most rare Type-R.

jimbo001

Yeah, it was a tad unfortunate that the fk8 came out so soon after your shape. I doubt this one'll drop as quickly. Tbh, I'd probably pick up a 1/2 year old one, at least then more exhaust mods will be out 😋 Hows the ride on the fk2?

hartscape2

Great mower ...buy an uplift blade for it cheap as chips and it’ll improve your wet grass clogging problem no end

dannyjones106

I have this mower too. Great bit of kit. It don't try to cut the grass on too low of a setting if there's the slightest bit of dampness to it - mines clogs up and cuts out. Although I guess most petrol mowers would do the same!

MrBoydee

has a better engine than my car...

billysally208

I have owned one of these for the past two years and it is an excellent machine. The Honda engine starts first time every time, even after standing over the winter months - would fully recommend them to anyone especially at this price.

honda all day still got two izy`s 20 years old

mb021

If you pull a piece of carpet behind one of these mowers would it produce the stripes similar to what a roller achieves ?

skdotcom

The Honda engined mower is £29 off a £367 list price. Its pretty confusing to muddle this in with a non-Honda engined mower which is £91 off £309 list price. So to add my pennies worth, I have a Honda HRD 536 QX. Alloy deck, steel roller, self propelled. They retail around £1300, but I paid £800 for mine 10 years ago. The engine has needed several services over that time at reasonable expense, but it still runs perfectly and is probably still worth £500 ish. The two in this deal will be worth nothing in 10 years time as the steel deck will have rotted away. Plus they don't have a roller so you wont get stripes :) On the basis the Honda engine will probably outlast the chassis it is fitted to, there is not much point in paying the extra for that one. £218 seems pretty good. Hot for the deal, cold for the presentation!

hangerhead

i've revised the title slightly - you make it sound like i'm on the take when i don't even work in the industry :)
