Has the free accessory bundle offer ended everywhere?

nyum

I didn't get the accessories pack so like, the offer isn't as good... but got the phone, cancelled the airtime after 1 day... and paid off the phone plan. Worked great! Thanks sc03tye!

nyum

Is this still valid? I don't see the promotion for the Accessories pack anywhere.

sc03tye

Correction, CAN cancel it within 7 days cooling off period. FACT. Yesterday I got the unlocking code, and called customer services and asked to cancel the airtime and pay off the phone £240, ....all done, no questions! So no, your wrong. Thank you and good night

rodman

Can not cancel it any more so COOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD.

Actually as an iOS developer myself, I can tell you that the 64-bit integration is fairly straightforward (in development terms), and of course, remains backwards compatible with 32-bit iPhones - so I don't really understand why you think this will make apps useless? Apparently it took the team at Infinity Blade 2hours to make the new Infinity Blade 3 64-bit compatible! All my apps will be 64-bit in future. In other news - this is stone cold

I wonder how the Apple fan bois are reacting to the plastic iPhone? Wasn't plastic anathema to them?

vickarth

Looks like they have listened! There is now NO £25 x 24Month Refresh tariff :)

Andy306

true, I got my iPad 2 on a price error on ebay for £50 less than retail, and they still haven't dropped in price - just don't know if I could be bothered with taking out a contract and cancelling it for the sake of £9 4S is still fetching £200+ in 64GB format, however I already have a buyer for mine

iPod touch 16GB is £199... if they had put the iPhone 5C anywhere near this level it would have destroyed the iPod - which is almost identical except it doesn't have any cellular capability the iPhone 5C HAS to be more expensive than the iPod, it's simple business now Apple could sell everything it does cheaper and still make billions, but they don't need to, and trying to match other manufacturers on price would remove the premium status they hold across their entire product range it's a simple matter of brand power

splinters

Agreed mate. I thought they would try and hit the £200 mark with a spruced up 4s but this is just ridiculous at £469 for the 16gb.

ashmac

apple dropped a massive clanger here way over priced should be around the 250 to 300 mark you can get a nexus for 200 which would leave this for dead

splinters

Seriously, this is crazy. There is just £80 difference between the 5C and 5S. One of these is just an iPhone 5 with a coloured plastic case while the other is a seriously powerful piece of technology made in premium materials sporting improved camera, 64 bit processor, fingerprint id and more. Why..oh why would anyone buy this?

BUZZ.FUZZ.47

hmmm missus contract is up and wants to upgrade from here iphone 4. Does she go to for the 5 or 5C. Got to think about contract costs as well as the resale value after a probable 2 year deal

cb-uk

4COSI

I cancelled within 14 days ........ Credit agreed

TechnoDonkey

With a new device imminent you would have to be a total idiot to spend this much on an iPhone 5. On top of that, the last two times I've been charged a small amount for line rental and a whole month's worth which I had to apply to claim back - though I still haven't received it. this was worthwhile for a 16gb iPhone 5 @ £260 (give or take) but £530 is a total rip off unless you go by Apple's falsely high store prices rather than the second hand market. Just wait two more weeks and watch the price of this plummet when it gets discontinued.

justthinking

If you cancelled a consumer agreement within 7 days of taking out the contract (typically business customers don't get a cooling off period), there shouldn't be a dispute. I think you can only get Refresh from O2 directly and it isn't available for business users, stores have a 7 days change of mind policy, as do their call centres. If you are within the 7 days ask to speak with a manager. If you have no joy from speaking with a manager then write to complaintreviewservice@O2.com with a full explanation of your issue. (I was a manager with O2 (from BT to Telefonica) for 11 years) Good luck (as long as you're in the right ;) )

Zaim2012

Ok so what is the best air time and phone plan to use for this? Not 100% sure on how it works.

shemau

How to 'use' the O2 Refresh has been posted over and over in every O2 thread. Sign the phone contract £15 month, sign the tariff contract £17 month. Get phone home. Use the O2 web site to unlock it for free. Cancel the tariff contract and pay off the phone contract. Total payment £360. You have SIM unlocked handset, but no (working) SIM. If you want this phone and do not need a contract. Great price. Expect the usual... no, you have to pay the tariff off as well... response. You are wrong, the whole point of the O2 refresh is that you are not locked into the tariff contract. ALL their examples on the web site clearly state and pay off ONLY the phone contract. You could remove purple from the title, same price on the black. The tariff is not too shabby either £17 unlimited calls, unlimited texts and 1G of data (see o2 for full details of what is included).

MubarizMujtaba

The cash price is the price that o2 usually charge on PAYG, this new type of tariffos eexcellent, i think other providers should start this

I'd be a bit nervous of trying this because when you follow the link it says phone cash price £600!

Just taken an iPhone4S for daughter on an O2 Refresh 24 month contract and later stumbled across this thread. Thread not expired so has anyone had recent success? New phone arrived today and when I access Refresh area of website I need to pay off Phone Plan, ie £240. Assuming I unlock phone online, pay the £240 and then cancel my airtime contract within the next week, I can just stick a Virgin SIM in it for £7 a month and make a significant saving for a bit of hassle. Any recent insight welcome thanks.
