Apparently in summer 2018, wherever they got that from we know it's not true (lol) But yes, I really want a Mario Kart 9!

Worth it. And when you've exhausted the tracks on it I recommend then buying the complete DLC for about a tenner more. Well worth it. Is there any news on whether Mario Kart 9 will be released? The Switch needs its own version rather than a port of this game.

All depends on stock levels. Either way, it’s cheap and has a 2 year warranty. Can’t lose.

Good price but it's been £10 for about a month in my local CeX

Four of us play split screen so much on wii u that I recently bought a switch because it has proper battle mode tracks. It still didn't feel intense though like from childhood so unsure whether to sell switch or wii u. Double weapon holding is good tho :)

Wii U White 8gb pre owned (Grade C) £69.99 @ GAME
Found 28th SepFound 28th Sep
Also Wii U Black 32gb pre owned (fair condition) £79.99 https://www.game.co.uk/en/m/wii-u-black-console-fair-condition-680300

Cheapest price I've seen so far, also £79.99 for the 32gb model seems good to me, unsure if it will get that much cheaper as it didn't sell well. On another note the Wii U has great games that were ported to Switch but cheaper, games like Zelda BOTW, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart 8, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, New Super Mario Bros U, Bayonetta 1 & 2 (both on disc), it also has games not ported to Switch like Super Mario Maker, Super Mario 3D World and Yoshi's Wooley World. The Wii U also has free online multiplayer and a virtual console.

This is not a good price at all for the basic version in poor C condition

If I didn't have Wii U already, I would've bought this easy (y)

Decent price. I'm sure I read somewhere that Game's preowned tat is all graded as Grade C, I could be wrong like, and I totally could have made that up. Heated mate :)

I picked up a grade C (white) from game around 18 months ago for £90 and was happy enough (one or two chips on corners etc). Most the gamepads come with screen protectors from new and people tend to leave them on. I peeled mines off and replaced it and it was as good as new. Good console, plenty life still in it.😁

Once I learned about the NTSC/PAL differences I've always struggled to use PAL since. It's crazy, in the case of many Megadrive games, the games on the cart are literally identical, just controlled by the console. I put a 60hz switch in my Megadrive and you can flip them on the fly, it's crazy the difference it makes.

You'll feel you've been conned your whole life haha.

Yeah I need to check that out it's crazy as I grew up on sonic 1 for years!!

NTSC is around 17% faster than the pal games. USA and Japan was 60 Hz so obviously the developers had that in mind when they made it and then they do the optimisation for pal which was why we often got later releases. It really depended how well the developers make it. Bad optimised 50hz games resulted, black borders top and bottom, music is slower. Pal Crash bandicoot was really close to NTSC because they optimise it really well. And then there's sonic the hedgehog 1, the pal version was horrendous, there's a YouTube video showing it. But basically yeah, your Mario 64 was the slower version, but it was optimised to an acceptable standard (at the time).

I only ever played mario 64 back in the day in the 90s so I guess I've only ever played the 50hz version which had slowdown?

Dogs chewed the disc of this last week so heat for being able to replace it for such a good price (lol)

I have this on the Switch. Performance on this game is simply awful at times. FPS really dives in places. The game also crashes in places, more so if you play coop. Would I recommend this game? Hell yes, its great. If you like GTA then you will like this. Same type of game but obviously toned down to suit children. I'm 39 and still this :)

Is it only 1 player on the wii u?

Nice one I've been waiting for some wii u game deals so ordered a copy.

I liked the game but the constant sirens in open world play drove me to playing with the game muted.

...I never said they did. Nor did I suggest they were real Amiibo cards. But, as with everything, if you want to carry things with you, and you happen to own a whole set anyway, the cards in a handy wallet/box saves dragging 24 figures around when you want to get your daily drops in BotW/other games, when you get a lunch break etc. Avoids scalpers and OOP model woes, however. Horses for courses!

Not everyone wants the fake knock off cards

Buy the NFC cards from China. That's what I did for BotW - £10 for all, including champions.

Brilliant! Thank you so much! These will be great for Amiibo Festival 😁

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Pikmin 3 £13.99 + 75 Gold

This was my first Zelda game and as I had no frame of reference I enjoyed it. I’ve since played others and would still agree motion wasn’t the way to go. But at that moment in time it worked. Game is too long to enjoy it again. I’d play without motion control on switch though if it was remastered for definite

while the game itself was great it was really hindered by the poor motion controls. even the controls in the force unleashed games were more responsive

Yes I remember that yes I wasn't keen on that one so much. Though I did rebuy Wii U version (though it is still in my pile of shame haha). I think it was just the Gamecube version with motion tacked on. I haven't tried VR yet. Hoping to get a PS4 (yes very late to the party ha) and might get a chance to give it a go. Good motion controls and if they suit your play style too, can draw you into the game more. I see they sell Move controller for it now so must be getting more popular with VR.

I third this request. Finished Breath of the Wild a couple of weeks back and now I'm in need of more Zelda

Nice game. Best on Wii U! (Unless of course you want to play away from your house) Axiom Verge on Wii U is the only version with a 2nd screen allowing you to see the map and inventory at all times.

Haven't finished it but from the time I've put into it I would definitely recommend

Just played it for an hour. It’s awesome, incredible value!! Thanks op.

Just spent £25 on the Multiverse Edition from Game. Looks like I’m returning that and getting this download version instead!

I am not believing it, unless the kids are age 2-3 maybe. I have seen kids play it in our house and they definitely did not love it. is the kind of game you could spend £5.99 on and still feel ripped off. Officially the worst Wii U game.

Managed to get one, thanks

Another one only buying this for the Amiibo, my daughter just got New Leaf for her birthday, so will love these :) Bought for 99p thanks to an almost-forgotten-about voucher. Heat!

Terrible reviews but you would not believe how much the kids love this! Also as previously said a cheap way to get a couple of amiibo and cards

Blurry just on Wii U or PS4 & XBox as well?

You can create multiple accounts to access multiple eshops within region though (split by currency) so you can have a Euro and Sterling and Rouble account for example. There aren't many savings that you miss out on significant enough to have you pining for the Peso.

Afraid not. The Wii U is region locked

Whilst in Florida last week we went to a shop called five below, everything is $5 or less. They had these in for every console. Just shows how desperate they are too get rid of them.

Definitely important that people are aware the online functions cease on December 1st, and you're just left with the on-disc songs (there aren't many of them at all, and most people probably won't enjoy all of them).

Got this a month ago and really enjoyed it. GH TV is a great idea with the music video but I guess it’s costing them a lot to keep it going for a game that ultimately did not sell well. Shame.

No point, it stops being supported in December along with access to the majority of the songs

OOS and won’t deliver near me :(

Maybe, but the GameCube and WiiU didn't sell well so loads of people still haven't played it, so there is a market.

Honestly, I think it's a little soon for a Switch port. Yes, I know, we've had plenty WiiU ports already, but honestly, I just feel each is too soon and on a technical standpoint mostly unnecessary. Personally, I'd prefer Skyward Sword HD and some ABOTW DLC.

Completed. Steady 30fps through the game on the GameCube. The WiiU had the odd drop but few and far between. Nothing that affected my enjoyment of the game.

You obviously never completed it then.
