Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut - 85% off at Steam for £1.94

Not really a traditional fps. More of a first person stealth rpg. Sure you weren't playing it wrong? (cheeky)

Yeah, works perfectly with Xbox controller. I prefer keyboard and mouse for FPS games - however this was buggy in this pc version and I had to use gamepad anyway. I think this game was developed primarily for consoles...

Some people have said it has full support for Xbox360 controllers. Not sure about other controllers but there are applications to remap to Xbox360 so it might be worth a look.

Can this be played with a controller?

"already in library"..... Oh... Ok.... (Closes Steam)

it terms of GTA style sandbox games, it is much better than Saints Row (more so the direction the series went in since it's first game). One of my favourite games ever with a very fun platinum trophy!

Ah fantastic! (lol)

Used to love Urban Chaos on PS1 (lol) Just found this:

Might have to rebuy Sleeping Dogs for PC at that price. Great game, wish there was more.

Bought this in the Xbox 'sale' after all the rave reviews on here. Hoping it's 3.99 well spent!

Square Enix are my favourite devs at the moment. What they've done with Tomb Raider and Hitman is just epic. Cannot wait for the next instalment of both. Thanks OP!

sure, if you literally going to die of some deadly disease so that you cant in fact wait till you can get a better price, then go ahead. soryr i didnt account for those about to pass away and still feel they want to spend their last weeks playing a £3 game, cheers man

"Wait for the Steam sale" is slightly dubious advice when one finished less than 2 weeks ago.

wait for the steam sale on these, the prices are approaching half of these. those its not much of a saving, we are talking pounds and pence, Still, getting the best bargain feels good.

It was quite some time ago now, The Witcher 3 and F1 2016(?) were in there at around 80p each.

Cheap price, it was free on PSN+ not long ago but for those who have missed it.

Fallout 4 is a tenner in-store in Tesco. If you're looking at direct prices they're probably from other sellers.

This seems to be the only decent priced PS4 game they have! They've got Fifa 17 and Fallout 4 for about 60 quid! When it's £5 or less elsewhere. Who are they kidding?

Great game, i just finished it yesterday and I it lasted about 40 hours.. I completed pretty much everything though. The end is so disappointing.. it's not even an "ending" the game literally just stops lol.

Yes but in perfect condition with codes included

Yeah shame i never see it for £2 no more though ;(

It will never say new on their stickers in poundland look up in comments for where i show an image they stick on both new and used stock regardless which it is. All are sealed just some of those are resealed. If you want a rough guess to tell used from new the ps4 games have a special ps4 branding along the seal of new games along the bottom that can't be replicated. Xbox one games have their microsoft sticker seal up the middle of the case where it opens if that's been removed which is likely for a reseal then its possibly used. If it has one that looks intact then likely new stock not new. Without being able to tell from those tips above its pure gamble.

Agents of Mayhem's available too!

Found Fallout 4 for a fiver? Fantastic.

Ah, right.. Didn't know about this. I feel like Poundland just puts any sticker on the cover and puts it for sale. I'm quite sure it said "new" on the sticker but now I'm not 100% sure.

Very disappointed after playing human revolution quite a few times + the DLC. If it was GWG then maybe I would try It again.

Ohh thanks momouk

I think on steam you also only the standard and digital deluxe edition. Hence, the latter one would be the most complete.

which PC version would be the most complete? Thanks

I would get the Digital Deluxe edition, which is also on sale for £8. The 3 story DLCs are very enjoyable!

Probably best to play them in order of release (the same order as the OP listed them) even though HR and MD are set before the originals.

Probably human revolution then Mankind Divided. Mankind Divided gives you a 12 minutes recap of the previous game, but spoilers obviously. The games I mentioned previously are both prequels to the original game and invisible war, plus the gameplay is modern. If you enjoy the newest games in the series, then go back and try the original. I also recommend getting the season pass for Mankind Divided because the ending is abrupt and leaves alot of unanswered questions. Just Square Enix trying to squeeze more money out of consumer.

Probably a silly question but whats the best order to play these games in?

The game began on PC. It has always been on PC (apart from the initial release of The Fall). If they were to cancel it, it would be cancelled on all platforms.

One of my favourite game franchises on PC. There may be no more (on PC). If you're an action/FPS fan you will already have this. At £7.79 for the whole lot they're effectively giving it away.

I would say CeX is in more danger than GAME. But we shall wait and see what comes next. Brexit is also ahead. Those retailers which sell new stuff would feel the pressure more later on. 3 different but known video game related business have already gone out of business in the first half of 2018. I’m expecting more to come in the second half, unfortunately.

They may have negociated some of GamesCentres's stock as well? At this rate GAME need to be worrying... seeing a couple of cheap GAME deals I wonder if thats competition or panic? MM owning the second hand market at the mo. I don't think it will affect CeX much.

I agree. I feel music magpie is going to put a few more retailers out of business until they manage to fully sell the grainger games stock. They have completely spiked the pricing for other retailers :D

Absolute nuts for gaming deals at the mo. I am litrally going to get killed by the missus for my game purchases lately. Does anyone else just sit in their man cave and think..... what should I play then don't play anything as there is too much choice (lol)

I certainly plan to play them all once I get my PC properly set up, and buy a good mouse and mechanical keyboard, as well as a proper monitor. Just playing on a 4K TV at the moment with an Xbox One controller. Brings back so many good memories, already sunk in a good 8 hours since buying it again for this deal. Amazing how if you spend too long in the Sarif lobby the hostages can actually die, or if you save all the hostages a man will give you a side quest to get a reward for saving him and his wife. Trying to go for a pacifist run on Hard mode, probably going for as near to 100% completion as I can on a no kill run

Purchased all apart from Mankind Divided which I have but yet to play on Xbox One! The Directors Cut of Human Revolution will be a welcome treat on a rainy day come with the lack or forced boss confrontations!

You guys need to play invisible war, OLD now (Original Xbox was what I played it on), but man that was my first foray into Deus Ex games and it blew me away!

Yh, I said in another post about the dodgy one use only micro-transactions for more prixas kits. I have all the Deus ex games. I got 20 hours into Human Revolution, then stopped playing for some reason. I'll defiantly go back to it though, I really like the cyberpunk setting. I want to play the original, but it maybe too dated to enjoy the game play. Sometimes you're probably better off waiting till all the dlc is out, and then buying the complete edition on sale. I thought Mankind divided got pretty good reviews, but obliviously not as good as human revolution. I think a lot of the big reviews sites tend to look over micro-transactions and cut content. Its got a 83 on metacritic, but user are mixed at 6.5.

Yes, the game was originally longer, but Square Enix forced the dev team to split the series into a trilogy, and so hence the abrupt ending. Also Square forced in microtransactions, the augment your preorder nonsense, and the breach mode. All added very late in development. Becuase of this the game got poor reviews and sales compared to Human Revolutuon, and Square has put Deus Ex series on hiatus. Still Human Revolution is well worth playing, heck I've beat it before a couple of times on the 360, but bought it again in this sale becuase that's how much I love it. Willing to try the others too, though I'm not sure the original 2 have controller support (which is my preferred playing option being really new to PC gaming)

Ordered Star Wars Battlefront for my lad. Thanks OP

Some think it's good but I thought the map size & player count reductions made the game too CoD-like. I'm no spring chicken so I like games that reward strategic thinking as I'm not going to win any fastest-finger-first competitions against teenagers, with my ailing reaction times (embarrassed) Blood Money is quite a good mode and Heist is OK but the other modes are dull. Having said that, I'd say that the campaign is worth the money alone and then you can make your own mind up about the multiplayer modes (y)

What's battlefield hardline like ? Is that the one with the good cop bad cop? Worth a few quid or is there better out there
