Wow didn't think the hate for EA was still this high, but understandable Single player was bit short, but fun. Will try the MP tomorrow.

Your loss!

PC is fine during peak times and what not. Early mornings and late nights can be an issue. Good fun though.

That's definitely not what I am saying haha.

Wrong hill to die on if you are saying Battlefront has depth.

This often goes down to a tenner brand new. I don't think this is a very good deal because of that

Wow. Didn't realise this was only £9 for Gold users on Xbox at the moment. Wonder why PS store version is still £15.99.

Did you take last year off? If you weren't being outraged by this game, you must have been in a coma! ...or possibly, you'd been aware of such practices by all the big publishers for years and didn't get caught up into the hype (flirt) Ignoring loot boxes... multiplayer is more of the same, which for me isn't a great thing - nothing about the game sizes, accuracy or squad play was fixed. It's OK but I'm back playing Battlefield 1 with friends, despite my massive love for Star Wars. Outside multiplayer, there a decent 6-7 hour campaign this time and a few coop missions to amuse you for a while longer. For £9, there's a lot to like but I can see this going into EA Access within a couple of months.

Deal has already been posted:

3.75 from the Argentina store

It got slated initially for the loot boxes tied to MP progression, which has since been corrected. But this is by no means a bad game, especially comparing the content to the first Battlefront (2015). The single player campaign is also decent. Definitely worth 9£!

The force is weak here but heat anyway

Star Wars Battlefront II [PS4/XBox] £10.00 @ Tesco
Found 19th JulFound 19th Jul
Back in stock again for £10 each at Tesco website for both PS4 and Xbox version.

it was there and then it was gone ;(

Added PS4 version to my Click & Collect grocery order yesterday, thus avoiding basket charges. However, when I picked up the order today, the game was omitted as 'unavailable.' Called Tesco customer services to be told that no store within 50 miles of me has the game in stock - so why let me add it in the first place? Waste of time.

Got a free delivery trial, delivered next day with some red wine!

Yeah, noticed that at Sainsburys Beaconsfield... that is MESSED UP. (excited)

EA are greedy scum. So dont support them. They made this game pay to win and only fixed it when enough peeps complained

Tempting... Sold my copy with a console when it came out as the MTX were at their height, but since they've been scaled down, hmm...

EA and loot boxes, no thanks. You can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter. But in the spirit of HUKD, i'm still voting hot for the deal.

Your comment is valid, and if were a different game i'd probably be right there with you. But I feel that in order for something to be classed as a hot deal it needs to have value. £15 for a piece of poo is still a piece of poo. I was just trying to say that I do not think this is a good deal. You are right about the single player campaign... medeocre imo, but star wars; hence my £5 statement. I mentioned pysical copies because although I am a PC gamer, I am aware that the game is avalible on other platforms that have them. If this were a physical PS4 or Xbox game you could argue its a good deal because you could sell it on for a tenner. And loot boxes... I don't want to rant about them because I can go on for a long time about my opinions about gambling. However strictly game related comments: All the pay to win aspects of the game are still there. Worse, they are now restricted to people who bought the game and payed for them when the game came out. New players can't hope to gain the same advantage without hours of grinding and leveling up.

Is also at same price on Amazon

I was just setting the record straight. You did say, "for the past 20 years", so that's on you. Also, Steam and the like didn't suddenly spring up with a library of games in 2004 etc. If you don't want people quoting you incorrectly, correct your grammar, e.g. "not a single PC game purchased since the iteration of Steam, Origin, Uplay etc, can ever be sold on."

Saw at this price instore for PS4 and XBox, can only see PS4 online. XBox version is still available at Tesco for £10.

So weird. Sainsburys Beaconsfield has put this title back up to £24.99. :/

Im disappointed there is no online arcade, why only split screen?

You can change between 1st and 3rd person at anytime, I always use 3rd as personal preference. And playing as heroes / villains is always 3rd person. Worth a punt, it’s not a bad game at all - just needs some investment from EA

I bought on release solely for single player campaign, probably not worth what I paid (£30) but easily worth a tenner. I tend to play games for maybe 2-3 hours per day max and I had it finished in 3 days. It’s not that long, but still enjoyable.

Got this for a fiver from musicmagpie recently, really disappointing game even for a fiver from a multiplayer perspective. Just more of the same from the first one

Still going strong just picked it up for a tenner at Tesco Gateshead

I did. I didn't especially care because I never buy in game stuff anyway, but I understand the over-competitive types who didn't want to pay for stuff were upset that they were at a disadvantage against all the imbeciles who did pay because they aren't good enough at games to play them properly? I'm paraphrasing, of course.

Yeah dlc is free. They did it to get more players. They were aiming to make money from the loot box system instead which didn't go down so well. I guess you heard the controversy about that?

Lol indeed... I can't disagree there

Pretty sure all DLC is free?

4 years on the site without posting a deal, your contribution is appreciated.

Does the base game need to be installed to play the VR mission, or is just buying it and owning the license enough?

Has it went back to £20 Min order?! I stopped using it when they changed it to £40

Cheers for pointing that out, bought :D

If you have access to Prime Now it’s still under £12. Minimum order of £20 applies though so I guess it’s only worth it if you’re wanting something else at the same time.

Battlefront useful for the PSVR mission but can get second hand for under £4. Heat as you’re effectively getting fallout and battleborn for the other £4 (highfive)

Battleborn was DOA. Battlefront stats here. Quiet but not dead - think you’ll be able to get a game quiet easily on PS4/XO - especially the 8v8 matches like Cargo (CTF). Heat added but I wouldn’t bother on ordering this for Battlefront/Battleborn, I’d just buy Fallout 4 for £5 preowned (or cheaper if I could find it) and save £3. But that’s just me (embarrassed)

Fallout is of course excellent, but are Battlefront 1 and Battleborn even alive nowadays?

Dirt cheap. Heat!
