I see. Yeah, the whole thing was farcical, and I am glad it did not affect sales. The bug-filled launch on the other hand...

Damienzz

Base game is holding its value well on eBay, this is as good as price you'll see for a while

bleachedsmiles

I meant the other way round - was late. They confused historical accuracy with racism.

johnboylan12

Racism with historical accuracy? I think you are the one who is confused. It did ok, but the save system and the minutiae of detail in it put off everyone but the hardcore RPG fan.

bleachedsmiles

Weird, I was just thinking about this. Always looked pretty decent but sank like a stone because of confusing racism with historical accuracy if I recall... I take it this has all the dlc? Still a bit pricey for me...£19 mark and I'd give it a go

The game is incredible.

Grafix

Exactly what I am waiting for, I would of brought it on release but after they removed the massive battles from the original trailers I was happy to wait for a complete cheap edition.

pelwl

Might be worth waiting for the complete edition, which comes out in May and includes all DLC. Or at least waiting for that edition to get cheap.

Yes, I think so. From what I read it was meant to be a 3 part trilogy ala Mass Effect, but for some reason or another this game is in effect part 1 and 2 of what they planned. So really we got more than we should have, at the cost of a satisfying ending. I should also say that by 'the ending' I mean like, the last 5 minutes of cinematics. Even knowing what I know now I would still do it all over again because the preceding 75 hours or so are probably the best of last year IMO - and it really is MO because some people just can't get on with it and I do understand why.

LoriScotia

Did they just run out of steam/time/ money to do the ending properly? I really liked look of this, but can't stand rubbish endings. Do you think it might get updated? Thanks for review, you might have saved me £20 and disappointment (know it off sale now, but wouldn't buy til on sale again). Cheers

Just get the standard version. If there is any dlc you like later down the line. They are usually cheap so I'd do that.

johnnyb316

Persona is a good price, great game. Kingdom is also a good price, I have it on disc but was tempted to get it digitally as I’ve now got a 4gb hard drive and don’t buy physical anymore. My wee boy plays the PS4 now too and a digital library works better for us.

Sir_Deadpool_of_Awesome

Where are you trading games so that it works out noticeably cheaper than some digital deals? Since Game stopped price matching +£1 with the likes of CEX, the trade-in system has died on its arse for me. I live near the type of CEX’s that only desperate souls with infinite time and patience would endure, and are happy to trade two recent AAA games for enough credit to buy another recent AAA, pre-owned game. That’s a bad deal for me and I’m happy to amass a library of discounted digital games (only fools would pay digital rrp)

DAVE_MARSHALL

I prefer digital too for the above, plus my son plays the ps4 and he can download the games, and we can play online together. Works out cheaper than buying 2 x retail copies of the same game

comshoplesce

then pay more.

Hot and very much worth a punt at this price! It's definitely got its quirks and is a bit rough round the edges, but I didn't mind the save 'feature', soon got used to the lockpicking and the general feeling of travel sickness early on from all the head bobbing. Controversial I know, but I preferred this to Red Dead Redemption 2 and have put way more hours into this.

tfish

Is this the game that was filled with 'Hate Facts' lololololol

scottydd

Played them all except FFX and it is up there with them. I've played Ocarina of time again in the last 6 months and it's not that great.

Wolfenstain

Probably the greatest RPG i've ever played. So much depth but not for the casual gamer unfortunately.. (not a criticism of the game!)

Dayksa

Bought this back when it came out and never had any issues with crashing, enjoyed the game and completed it but I will agree the story wasn't the greatest.

EQL

Not too bad a game says the reviewer, but unstable: 'Played the entirety of it and quite enjoyed it, there's a lot to like about the medieval setting, quest design and the punishing combat system', though 'it never seemed to become stable enough for extended periods of gameplay', crashing hourly. Even more patches since the reviewer played it.

I've been looking at getting this for a while (was way too pricey for me digitally) now so checked out YouTube for recent reviews and came across this which I have linked in my main OP too. Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Ultimate Review (500+ Hrs Played) The YouTuber also notes that this review was recorded before the release of patch 1.5, which fixes many of the issues mentioned.

b3nwhy

Anyone played this? Looks right up my street, but maybe a touch clumsy? I'm not sold just yet. I wonder if this will be reduced further in Xbox's black friday sales?

After playing Elder Scrolls games, saving regularly becomes second nature. :D

Jamminator

I stopped playing this a few months ago and picked it up last week. I had absolutely no idea how to fight anymore and got thumped by pretty much everyone. The combat system is quite complicated but very good (lol)

Dog.

Not even close. You ever play Superman 64 or Ride to Hell: Retribution? This actually functions as a game. I think the premise may have been lost on you however; you start off incapable of combat etc. then earn competency through experience. Only playing for a couple of hours would not convey that.

tunafuturwarfare

£24..99 instore at Smyths if you can find a copy.

Redscoped

This is actually a very good and rewarding game. However it is for the tougher old school gamers that dont give up because the game is a bit hard or you actually have to learn how to play the game rather than it just being on easy mode the whole time. It is not really a game for the weak if you where born in the 1990's you should be fine with it. Otherwise get you dad to help you with it at the start it gets easier as you progress.

Sir_Deadpool_of_Awesome

Im surprised this is still around the £30 mark given its critical reviews and age. If you expect Skyrim, you'll be disappointed. If you expect a simulator of tiresome, difficult existence in medieval times then you will love punishing yourself with this.
