UK offical price is 100% theft by Sony. You can buy from Amazon.com and even including shipping & taxes it's still £4 cheaper. £8 cheaper if you remove this shipping charge which you wouldnt pay if Sony sold it at the same price as US in UK.
However we look at it, it doesn't explain why PS+ and PS Now don't follow the same logic. Games cost more in the UK by just because they assume (rightly) they can get away with it. If it was a currency issue then PS+ would be $60/£60 and same for PS Now.
I always forget about Boomerang Rentals, a good option to have :)
There's always the rental option. Boomerang are pretty great if you don't mind maybe having to wait till the day after release to receive a game sometimes. Rented Returnal from them as I wasn't sure how I'd enjoy it (It is bloody excellent) and I received it on Friday morning (y)
Very true I remember PS2 games getting jacked up when the system 1st came out, same with the Xbox 360, then over time prices came to around the 40 quid mark. The people buying games day one are usually adults who are mostly cash rich and time poor, so when they get the time to play properly the games reduced in price anyway, how many of us have bought games that are still in the cellophane wrapping 😄
