How much VR content does this have? Separate VR 'modes' are always a concern...

Yeah I was hoping it would too. I think this is one of those games you wont actually mind waiting for a more significant drop in price. Unless you're dying to play it of course. The problem is I have so many games I haven't played yet, either from other deals or ps plus monthly games I doubt I'll miss it. On the topic of ps plus I'm really not impressed with Amazon's offering this year. £48 for 15 months is pretty carp. I got it last year for £35, and I've even had another 12 months for £30 since then. Seeing as my sub is active until August 2020, I can wait another year and hope it drops to a more respectable price.

If you are buying this just for VR you are doing it wrong; the campaign mode is fantastic, great story, graphics and gameplay.

I really struggled with motion sickness in the VR mode for this, but then I'm quite prone to it. I had to bail after the first mission. But I absolutely loved the single player campaign. Never played a game from the series before and was expecting a turgid flight sim, but it felt more like the old Rogue Squadron games, with surprisingly good production values and voice acting.

Playing that at the moment. It's the sort of experience they made VR for. So fun

The VR missions are very special on this (I'm a big fan of the flat screen to) but while you are waiting for your bite price to arrive I thoroughy recommend Blood and Truth. Requires the move controllers. It really is an awesome VR game.

Well that's odd I ordered one yesterday via the original offer post they had 3 before I ordered and still have 3. Oh they used dpd so you'll get it next day with one hour delivery time.

The VR mode is the most realistic ever. Just like being in a simulator. No go for motion sickness people.

I got to say I disagree with all the folk saying they love this game. I find it incredibly slow. There is a stupid amount of unnecessary unskippable exposition, fed to you by line of text by line of text. Combat is fun, but marred by how terrible mission objectives are delivered. Usually by some casual mention in your COM as you're mid dog fight. This would be less of a problem if your COM wasn't constantly filled with unnecessary chat every damn second. I would only buy this if you are pretty die hard to the series. Regardless, heat for price.

Yeah it’s only on Japan store and I won’t bother with it tbh. It’s a timed demo of a single mission and you play like 3-4 min and it would stop the game play in the middle. It’s decent but if you want to try anything, buy the game imo. The demo is a joy killer..:

IIRC correctly, the pack-in (XBone got AC6 I think) was a pre-order bonus only. I'm not a fan of preordering but as a pre-order bonuses go, it's certainly better than an additional character skin or gun that you get with most games! Granted, 3 VR missions isn't the full-fat experience but I think they've done the best with the hardware available....it's a massive resource hog to develop the full campaign in full VR. I wouldn't buy PSVR just for this game but with No Man's Sky, Tetris Effect and WipEout, I think I can convince the better half! Considering it's 12 years since the last numbered release, hopefully AC8 will land (heh heh) on PS5 Pro with a fully fleshed out VR campaign and in 4k! (y)

Disappointing that this only reaches 1080p on Pro and X1 X, and 720p on base consoles. Still, it's almost a locked 60fps on Pro, which is nice. You'd expect 2K checkerboard/4K with 50-60fps on a flying game. Apparently the PS4 Pro version runs better than the One X for this too, according to the tech analysis. I've been a big fan of this franchise since the early days, so I will definitely pick this up at some point.

Try ginger tea! I've heard a fan blowing in your face can help too. I used to have really bad vr sickness, for example with gran turismo sport, but just play in very short bursts and stop immediately if you feel sick and you can improve.

Gaming's so much cheaper now than it used to be. And it can't really be argued that the writing on the box isn't misleading. But yeah, there's a demo on the Japanese store that I've played...it's pretty good. Not quite the stomach churning sense of speed many spoke about, but still quite decent vr. All the more a shame it's not the full game.

Yes. It almost makes you feel the G force when you turn. Do it sitting down and breath through mouth. That helped.

Well most people would read up on a game before buying anyway given how much they cost these days. Btw the vr is unbelievable. I've only done the first mission which unlocks free flight mode so you can fly as much as you want after that.

AC5 was awesome! My favourite of the series. 'Motormouth Chopper' and Blurry blasting in the cut scenes. Epic. Is the version included a tarted up HD variation, or a full remake?

As a former RAF pilot many moons ago, the 3 VR missions were epic. Being able to follow a target over the top of your head was just awesome. I really felt like I was inside a tiny cockpit. Shame the whole game isn’t VR. The three missions took me an hour.

Cold, Will never order from Base.com again after the fiasco with the Pre Order DLC. Closed my account with them and cancelled my pre orders for this year. Awfully rude customer service manager over the phone. This was never the case trust me. I had It Pre Ordered with them since they announced it. Then they shifted all liability for the Pre Order Bonus's over to Bandai Namco and blamed them for making It sound like they were offering the Pre Order Bonus's when they themselves had It plastered all over the Base.com Website and then had It removed on Launch Day. In the end i traded in this copy to Game got a PSN Card & Re-bought the Digital Deluxe Bundle through PSN Store whch include every digital bonus :)

Had this since release. Bit of an impulse buy at the time but glad I did it. Put a good 20 hours into it since and loving every minute. VR and non VR alike. my first go at the VR almost ended in the bathroom. You need strong legs once you start doing barrel rolls! But I quickly got used to it. The VR is excellent but the standard mode is also extremely good. You lose the immersion but it is a more relaxing way to play and the game mechanics are spot on. These planes are a joy to fly and on the pro the frame rate is really smooth.

Yes unfortunately think it’s only about 1-2hrs in VR it’s meant to be amazing while it lasts though. Hopefully they’ll add some more VR dlc fingers crossed.

v2 headset, AC7, RE7, Astro Bot Rescue Mission, Wipeout, Doom VFR, Skyrim and VR Worlds. That's 7 full games (okay it's debatable whether VR Worlds can be classed as an actual game). that's not bad. Anyone taking their first steps into PSVR and looking to expand their collection, be mindful the game 'StarBlood Arena' is having it's servers shut down in 6 months. and as the game is online only, no one will be able to actually play it.

Im not overly surprised given the price was under 200 for the mega pack over Christmas, if I can help one or two people i'll be happy. From my point of view I would be buying Ace Combat and Res Evil anyway, so its just a straight £50 saving for me, as for the two months of Now TV, I can wait till Game of Thrones starts up again to use it :)

Whilst the price of PSVR has gone up since Christmas this isn't actually a bad deal in itself right now. Essentially you are getting two free games (one of which being a brand new release) over buying the Mega Pack for the same price at Amazon or Argos. So seeing as it's the best deal right now for a PSVR bundle then this deserves some heat.

Yeah I think the voting on this has been very harsh, it's a decent deal at the moment.

Well imo Amazon prices are rubbish and it was revealled in a show on Channel 5 that prime members can end up paying more for a product than none prime members too. Rip off Amazon strike again. This is only my opinion though.

Boomerang rental is a brilliant company in my opinion- never had any problems with them.

Dispatch in 5-10 days seems odd. Never had much luck on the Boomerang site and would pay the extra for The Game Collection.

Sorry, my mistake, I say that it was from Boomerang Rentals and incorrectly assumed that it was an ex-rental copy.
