I picked this up on Epic Games on PC when it was free last month. As someone playing it for the first time recently, it is buggy, glitchy and frequently frustrating but... I love it and all that is part of it's charm (in a weird way.) You get very addicted to improving your base and taming dinos and going on adventures (we have a group of us playing on a PvE server) I would happily pay £20 if I wanted it on console.

Yeah this drops every couple of months, its always on sale as its an old title. Dunno why boxed copies always sell so high, even CEX sell at £30.

I thought I'd seen it on the store aswell cheap, that was the first place I checked but the current 39.99 no way I'd pay that. I'll keep an eye on the store, don't mind digital versions if they're cheap enough.

Did anybody have any trouble getting this to actually run? Seems to be a raft of problems getting this game to install/run/verify/load etc. I've been trying to get it installed on my sons PC for him and it will not progress beyond "verifying" - it seems to take hours and still gets nowhere. It stuck at 91% after being left overnight and all day up until around 7pm tonight. Yeah mate, it's open world survival. It's a quiet server cluster with friendly people on it.

For under $10 I've got Ark and all the DLC released to date...... brilliant stuff. It takes up 271gb on my hard drive which is insane.

Can the server be accessed from Xbox? I haven't checked yet.....

No it's not "being shown for free", it warns you about requiring a licence before you watch it, and that £157.50. "Got a TV Licence?You need one to watch any BBC programme on iPlayer - live, catch-up or on-demand. It's the law." There is a cat outside, how about I just take the cat home with me because that's obviously free as well... Stuff on YouTube is being shown for free (as it's paid for by advertising) stuff on iPlayer, isn't try it, they will log your IP and send you a snotty threat in the mail I'm all for people not paying to fund their Leftie world view, just as long as they know what the deal is. This isn't a deal, paying £157.50 to legally watch a film is daft, equally posting "Watch the BBC for a whole year for the new amazing low low price of £157.50!!!!!" is also daft because it is always that price Other than that, great film

I'll quite happily take 1.5 billion in installments! Thanks for the info. I'm not sure what the fuss is about, the Indy movies are aired now and again when it's a dearth of their own content to show on the weekend on BBC and generally they get put up on iPlayer for a limited time.

Before we all split hairs. This movie is being shown for free on BBC iPlayer. Let’s not split hairs. License or not. To be honest I don’t really think about the license fee ever when watching BBC or ITV or CH4 or CH5 and before you all start I know it’s just the BBC that is funded by the license fee. Etc. Etc. Etc. Relax. If you’re a sensible person you shall be paying the license fee anyway! This is going slightly off topic. What were we talking about again???????

Why has this gone up in price so much, I got this for £3.50 a few weeks ago. I’m sure it’s still available on other websites for around this price, although I’m not sure if they’re ‘allowed sites’.

Worth every penny. Exceptional game. Just make sure you have a half decent rig.

Brought it while in EA, put a few hundred hours (not much i know) but really found it a wonderful distraction, this game is a unique experience, worth every penny of £9.

Key didn't work but GFs did. They are having issues with a lot of people's keys

The Islamic version doesn't have the incest story and Muslims believe that Prophets did not sin and were role models. Also the Bible has been altered so that is probably a part of the alteration (making out the Prophets to commit crimes). So the toy should be okay if based on the real action story and not the changed version but to be honest no need for the toy (consumerism) and a book is fine to tell the story lol.

If you're only looking to buy the ark then Argos is cheaper. Personally I'd rather get value for money i.e. getting £50 of toys for £40

Doubt many had TVs at that resolution back then, or ways to receive it. Regardless, it's nice to be able to watch them at full HD today. Even at 240p, I'd watch them!

I don't think it's remastered, it was originally broadcast in 1080.

I recently watched Atlantis again and I'd forgotten how good it was. My fav' episode is Grace Under Pressure, can't figure out why though... :D

I'd say Everett was the problem, that character was as dull as dishwater, defiantly no O'Neill or Sheppard.

got into stargate atlantis first and think its a better series, but do like SG1 and more the laster series, whitch I know is at odds with a lot of fans but like the Ori ark. I think Trek or B5 better however!

its got full on single player of all the maps released so far also with creative modes so you can enjoy it all or work from scratch, of massive amount of official and unofficial servers to bounce around till you find a cool one with some good people. cant beleave ive been playing for near 4 years lol

Love this game, fab game if your kids have other friends who also play it! Think Minecraft but better graphics and dinosaurs, more about foraging than mining.

Be warned the developer doesn't care about bugs - even severely game breaking ones that allow a troll to wipe out potentially thousands of hours of your work. The idea of the game is interesting enough, but the developer has earned a permanent black mark for me. I wouldn't touch this even if it was free.

Also, giving control to the clans ruined it. Nothing like a server being wiped for giggles.

It was poorly optimised and although improved it's still rough, official servers are tough and a lot of the unofficial are very quiet these days.

Anyone played this? How is it?

My kids had something similar when they were younger I think the bigger version but it was the best thing I ever bought it’s up in the loft now for the grandchildren if I get any. Heat from me x
