Isn't this on game pass, I know I played it via GP not too long ago, loved it until the end boss battle which was so frustrating that I gave up and started another game

replicant69

Couldnt agree more! I got hooked on this game, decent size rather than some over very quickly, and at this price I think for anyone that hasn't owned/played this it's a steal!

A game a dull as...well today, grey. Pushed myself till the last level, but it was such a grind, i couldn't subject myself to any more dull assed gameplay. Avoid like Corvin-19.

I remember being so excited for this game when it was announced but didn’t get around to playing it until about a year and a half after it released. I still think about this game often. It’s one of my favourites - easily top 5. The setting, the characters, the amazing story, the graphics and gameplay...it went above and beyond my expectations. I’ve not seen a time travel storyline done anywhere near as well in any other game. Remedy Games never seems to disappoint. The only complaint I’ve heard is that it can be a little shorter than expected if you cut out the full TV episodes spliced into the story. I personally think it worked really well and made for a unique experience, but I’ve heard some people didn’t like that part. If you’re even slightly interested in it, get it - especially at this price. You won’t regret it. (It’s also on Xbox Game Pass)

TylerDurdenUK

Just about finished this on xbox via Gamepass, very good game / story mechanics

You're right, that used to be the case but now you can skip it.

thr0tt

Now there is the problem, you can’t skip the TV show, if you could maybe it would be more fluid but if I recall there is no “skip” option.

ThisIsFitz

I enjoyed it. Just skip the TV show. At least they tried something different.

chaank

This game never really cuts it, plot progression is as slow as a saturday night drunk staggering home. I got to the last level, but couldn't put myself through the torture. Watch re-runs of the 5 oclock Corvi-19 updates from the slimy polititians, at least you can have a laugh. Avoid.

thr0tt

Don’t get this, it’s like a load of mini tv series with some annoying disruption in between they call “gameplay”. Control although very similar is a bit more mature in its gameplay mechanics

CMHammond

One of my favourite games of all time, it’s really good! I would definitely recommend anyone who is interested in time travel plays it. It’s absolutely worth it at this price.

PxuL

Anyone know if you buy this you can play it on Windows 10 as well?

Lestat69

Great game! Well covered idea of time travel but the acting, script and audio visuals are spot on! Absolutely loved the main character as well as the villain in this game not to mention the gorgeous Beth Wilder played by Courtney Hope! :p Seriously considering ordering Control just for her! I wish there was sequel to Quantum Break! Shame the game did not receive better reviews and sold in spades as games like that are rare and few in between- I mean using live actors :) Now, where is my copy of Alan Wake?:) Still need to finish that as well as American Nightmare!

tr0r

Hopefully! It seems their next game "Controll" is about interdimensional stuff, and it was revealed that it features the Voice Actors of both Alan Wake and Max Payne so.. strange times ahead.

Yep. I didn't notice it before but there's a little VIP thing in the top left of the game image. It's £6.75 (before vouchers) for VIP members.

matwalaboy

I do have an account but I don't think I have VIP access :( If you can confirm the VIP thing does bring the price - can update the OP so others can benefit from it.

Maybe it's something to do with their VIP scheme? Do you have a GMG account and if so, do you have access to the VIP section?

Great Xbox exclusive game!

.Yoshimitsu.

Fair enough if you gave it a chance and it wasn't for you. We will just have to agree to disagree ;)

marrowcat

Sorry, I just don’t believe that, I could easily find the same kind of video’s/articles/twitter accounts with the same negativity but against Sony. I’ve also read a lot of negative press because of E3. Negative press is everywhere, if you’re looking for it.

.Yoshimitsu.

You can't deny the prejudice shown towards anything Microsoft and Xbox, if fans of said platform are screaming media bias it is only because they have had to put up with it for years. If Sony shuts down a studio, cancels a game, announces they won't be at E3 - all is forgiven. If Microsoft does any of this, they are demonized and never allowed to live it down. The hatred and negativity you encounter towards Microsoft and Xbox is absolutely toxic everyday on the internet. Two recent examples of this in the videos below... Xbox and The Culture of Hate Surrounding It Some People Just Want to See Xbox Burn | Condemning Microsoft for Acquiring Studios

marrowcat

So, if someone doesn’t like an Xbox exclusive, they’re prejudiced? You sound like one of those Xbox fanboys screaming media bias 8) Digital Spy gave it 10/10 and Giant Bomb gave it 4/10. Sorry, I just don’t buy that media bias complaint, an average game is an average game, no matter what platform it’s on.

If I'm reading it correctly, £2.11 on the Microsoft Ukraine store. A few years ago I bought Tomb Raider from there but they seem to locked down on the trick and it now launches the Microsoft Store PC app when you try and buy it and that displays the £7.49 price. :(

mixmixi

I didn’t see anything related to Boomerang in your past experience. So I told you stop being negative and give them a go or get out of here because almost everyone here is telling you that you’re wrong and you’re just insisting that you’re not. I guess living a life in ignorance is always much easier than being able to understand and experience new things.

mixmixi

Ok cool. Boomerang hasn’t been around for the past 40 years of your (partially ex-rental and partially digital) gaming life so you may as well stop being a negative Nancy and give them a go to find out for yourself.
