You can visit them wherever they are, whether that's your galaxy or another. The Galaxy is pretty huge, I'm still in the starting Galaxy and nearly all of the systems I've visited have not been uploaded before. Plus certain mechanics you unlock make playing together easier (sorry don't want to spoil story/discoveries). I bought my key from CDKeys back when they were £15

I was thinking grabbing this as I tend to like open world, base building games. Good to hear there's often patches, means the devs are still active even after all this time and many free updates, which is really nice! Multiplayer sounds like fun, so you basically visit their galaxy and vice versa?

Pyrii

I've been playing this a lot to distract myself lately, it's very open-ended but there are questlines you can follow etc. My main goal atm is to reach the center so been going black hole hopping. This is a good price, be aware patches are big (the last couple of weeks we've had multiple 4+gig patches) Also multiplayer is interesting, can visit friends wherever they are and play together.

It is a good deal money wise but if i had to buy it again I would have bought it straight from steam to support the devs and not from shady cdkey sites.

Thanks

I'm not sure it's intended to be a review. I think it's probably just his opinion.

jetskichimp

Over 95 hours on game pass on this and then purchased on Steam and started all over again for about 35 hours or so. Yes, it does get to grinding and can get repetitive at times but it is good fun. VR is a whole different kettle of fish, totally changes the game play and is wonderful once you get the hang of the controls. TL:DR - worth a punt

wideawakewesley

100hrs almost clocked in the last couple of months playing a new save. NMS is a way more compelling experience now. It's basically a great way to chill out.

yomanation

Well, awful is a little bit of an overstatement anyways, but it's certainly not what I'd call "good". "Interesting" perhaps, at best, haha.

Enfysnest

He may not be wrong, and if he had added just a little justification for his comments, even if not as eloquently as you have managed above, I wouldn't be commenting. To say it's an awful game however, without saying why, dosent really help anyone in my opinion. (y)

Small saving versus the current lowest ever price at the Microsoft Store, could possibly be beaten by purchasing credit cheaper elsewhere. And yes, I know it's on Gamepass, but fo… Read more

Loufrance

Agreed! I gave up in the end and I’ve never bothered with it since.

CashCow

Would this be ok for a 7 year old? He's fairly clued up on games in general. But this might be a step too far for him to grasp. Just want to get him away from rocket league and fifa XD

I so want to love this game. cant even get past the 1st part of repairing your ship (:I

couldn't agree more - they can release all the updates they want - still wont fix the issue that it's procedural - every world is essentially the same with a different colour palate, and the fact that the early grind is not very beginner friendly - you have to grind for resources to do every little thing - it's an incredibly tedious loop

chaank

Same tactics used with ''Star Citizen'', jurassic problems still exist, yet they dress her in new rags and release a continually stream of vomit to passify the drones. They also have the useless ''PTU and Roadmap'', where one is a holding cell for bugs and failings, and the other a list of false promises. PS: CIG, Build those ships people paid for over 6 yrs ago you scalpers. NMS is for toddlers.

Fatso666

Years later and the game isn't fixed. Instead of addressing the bad gameplay loop they've just put more and more content on top. The core gameplay remains zapping stuff to get orbs to build stuff to zap more stuff on another planet. It's very unsatisfying and boring

XP200

Ok for £12 i am going to give this another try, i tried it before and found it to janky to enjoy in VR, but lets see if time have solved a lot of stuff.

This was the last game I ever pre-ordered (PS4) played it once and didn't really have the time for it, didn't necessarily hate it but was initially dissapointed and kinda just shyed away from it during all the hate Always see the trailers for the new content and think it looks amazing but know once I pop it back in my PS4 I won't be able to put it down , need to devote some time to this (y)

Same, started early March and only realised about the Expeditions with 2 weeks left. Couldn’t complete it with lack of knowledge but have since accrued 90hrs+ over 3 saves… (embarrassed) The Nexus missions need to be more difficult so you really need to team up and the Frigate missions also need to give better rewards and the interface needs improvement. Quicksilver rewards are a bit rubbish, I think they originally wanted in app purchases here and may still do. The multiplayer needs serious looking into to make it more MMO and sometimes a bit buggy not letting you play your “Normal” save with a friend - the fix is to visit the anomaly, teleport to a Space Station and make an auto save. Overall addictive but confusing as people think it’s about grinding which it isn’t - much. Great price but I have it on Gamepass and can’t wait for the next Expedition!

Unless something has changed, it's only possible to have the save file transfer between the Xbox and Microsoft App Store version of the game on PC. So only possible on Windows 10, and no linking/transfering with Steam unfortunately.

I think at the moment got 391 hours.Any one know if possible to transfer save from Xbox to PC? Got win7 :)
